I actually dislike that one. Too human looking.

This one is my favorite.
I'd be OK with either pic, though I do prefer the one I posted as I think it stays truer to Tali's placeholder face (minus the eyebrows ofcourse) and because I like the skin tone better.
I can understand why some say certain Tali fan art is too human although most of the time it seems like they want to ignore established canon in order to make Tali look alien for the sake of looking alien (I'm not talking about you, Quole).
Quarian are said by the novels to look, "surprisingly human". Their faces have eyes, lips, a nose and are arranged in a similar way to humans as well. They are
supposed to bare a resemblence to humans. When someone says Tali should look alien, their reasons don't really get any better than "I wanna see more aliens".
It would be more appropriate to look at a fan art and compare it to what we've seen and know of Quarians already, instead of saying "too human" or "too alien" based on personal impressions.
How does this face compare to what we can see in the game?
Does it have any features that are not supposed to be there?
Is the skin tone plausable?
Would the head shape be compadible with the known helmet shape?
ect...
