Hey Bioware said that whilst ME3 is the last game involving Shepard, it's not necessarily the last game set in that universe, right? Do you think they'll include Tali somehow in future games taking place in the ME universe?

I doubt it. I may be mistaken, of course, but I thought I heard they want to abandon these characters to focus on new ones that they develop. If I had to guess, I think Tali may be over
I guess this means I'll be hanging on even more firmly to the hope of the LI dlc

All these awesome voices from old shows that died, including Orson Welles and Tony Jay. (I shall never forget Megabyte.)Fenrisfil wrote...

First movie was good. Second sucked. Third was decent. They all destroyed everything the original series stood for. I will always remember the 1986 movie. Wonder what Tali would think of a synthetic larger than a planet...

Also, pop trivia: That was Orson Welles last role (as Unicron). Not bad way to go out really.

It's possible but seems unlike as anything involving key characters would mean creating a canon story for Mass Effect and they will want to avoid that if possible.
They could get around it largely by setting it between ME1 and ME2 I suppose. Plus they haven't said they won't establish canon, it just seems that they may want to avoid any more nerdrage if possible.

I don't think they will have any appearence in the future games. Maybe they could be mentioned in conversation, but never actually appear.

I wouldn't mind the first Geth/Quarian wars. Or maybe the Krogan rebellion.
Seeing the Morning War unfold would be exhilirating, but at the same time, knowing how the ending turns out takes away quite a bit of suspense (which is why I'm generally opposed to prequels as a whole). Still...the Quarian/geth conflict always was the most fascinating over-arching plot-line in the series.

I wouldn't mind something similar to DAO, where you can choose what species to be.
That'd be sweet

That's the big problem with continuing the franchise at the moment. Set it in the past and people will wonder what the point is, set it in the future and you have to establish canon.
Either way I suspect it won't be a proper RPG, so expect I'll be out.

For instance, being under Urdnot Wrexs command in the Krogan rebellions, or an aged Garrus as primarch some time after ME3.

On the bright side, the endings make sense with the narrative of the game(unlike ME3's endings.) However, the end choice changes little other than a different voice for the epilogue(at least from what I remember.)Fenrisfil wrote...
Ahh, that makes more sense. I should add that I haven't played it yet. But I did hear about the three buttons. So not too many spoilers please. My brother tells me it's still good despite the buttons.

From what they did to ME3, do you actually think bioware could pull that off? I have absolutely no confidence that they can.zim1017 wrote...
I think logical or minor appearances of characters being older or younger could happen, just to revisit or elaborate on their past a bit, that's fairly straight forward, not too much risk for nerdrage.

Would still establish canon. Sure for most people Wrex and Garrus will be alive (especially Garrus) but not for everyone. The bigger issue though would be three choices. Would everyone be part synthetic & would the Geth be destroyed? To avoid dealing with the Geth at all you'd have to also avoid the Quarians. Even if you did that, having no mention of that region of space would be strange.
Personally I don't mind establishing canon, but I'm a long time Fallout player, so have always lived with that. I get the impression a lot of ME players would nerd rage over that.
EDIT: Having said that, if they went with something other then Destroy I may nerd rage anyway. Lol.

"I have a shotgun."
Maybe not that harsh; she'd probably turn him down gently, but it'd be funny to see Shepard's reaction to her telling him.

All hope is lost. We have been abandoned. We held the line, but it mattered naught. There is no future for the mass effect series, and bioware shall soon dissapear. Our only hope is that the monolithic corruption of EA is taken down when bioware succumbs, shattering and burning in a hellfire of capitalistic vengance.Fenrisfil wrote...

I would pay the big bucks for a game about Tali.
