Also... continually humping his leg is not the same thing as if her leg was around his. Totally different, though somehow just as creepy...

Probably going with when Shepard wakes up, there is a few weeks time before he's well enough to go searching for his crew.  During that time, the armada of ships is still in orbit around Earth, doing clean-up, providing rescue for the ground, and planning on making contact again with Council Space systems and other clusters.  Shepard leads a scouting party in search of the Normandy (which would have a beacon set up at that time), finds the distress signal, and long story short, reunites with his crew and Tali, ultimately leading up to a few scenes showing the aftermath of the war and maybe even ending with Shepard and Tali with their house on Rannoch.

That might be what they're going to do, with some elaboration in between (i.e. Council worlds rebuilding, possible reconstruction of the Citadel/Mass relays, Shepard and Tali reunited scene, Shepard comforting her with how they now "have more time," etc.).  If they can pull it off, I'll be okay with it.

Hmmm...besides of the distance thing (beacon, no relays) that would actually be sensible. Then again, I don't trust anybody there anymore to bring a shred of sense into this.

And well, I believe some of the Armada would already try and reach their home systems on FTL alone. Maybe the Quarians would at least wait for a while, still. They have the longest travel ahead.

Yes.
But that's not the point.
We're talking about given that this is supposed to be an emotional cuddling daaawww moment, humping a leg seems a bit out of place.

And I dunno, she's always energetic and bouncy. So, maybe she's just too excited.

The envirosuit layer is the temperature controlled layer, so she would be fine.

Cuddle in giant bubble, like the ones newborn Quarians are housed in until their 1st suit, but bigger!

Maybe they sterilize one of the sleeping pods and use that... only disadvantage is the big window facing out to walk way to the gun battery. Tali and Shepard could be trying to have a private moment, then suddenly half the crew is watching them through the glass whilst eating popcorn.

Tali and Shepard exhibiting for the rest of the crew? Out of character, definitely... but who knows, that much stress will make people do pretty wiggy things.

True enough.  I was going with what I think they could still do (of course the beacon and relays thing is a plot hole, as we still don't really know where the Normandy is/how they crashed at FTL and survived/how far away they are, etc.)  Still, as long as they give some proper closure to the current ending and make sense of the nonsense, I'd be more accepting of it. 

Preparing myself for a "don't think too hard about it" ending; nobody knows what just happened, but look, Shepard builds Tali a house on Rannoch!  The sad thing is that I'd probably just roll with it.
