@Fenfen

Ah, I still believe that Tali was a major accident. Garrus, however, obviously wasn't, but both characters evolved vastly from Game 1 to Game 2, as if they were...learning how good a base they had built with them. Also the reason they added the romances. The first game, and I just played it in the past days, giving ME3 a complete cold shoulder for days now, was...quite simpler. The romances were basically too easy, "mit der Tür ins Haus fallen", falling into the house with the door, is a German saying and it befits the romances there. It gets much more realistic the second time. And by the third, they become exceptionally interesting. Which is why I cannot understand how they ruined the franchise in the end. Tali alone could've been a reason for many to return to the game, even if it was playing another character, meeting her adopted daughter or something.

And yes, maybe Obsidian lacks a little on the character development stage and makes it a bit too superficial to mate with people, but then again, we're talking post-apocalyptica here, basically the world after the reapers. Life is shortened already, the average life expectancy can't be higher than 30 anymore. And even that is high, 200 years after, in the years directly after, it must've been a record low. You have less time, and thus you ...get to the point quicker. Sure, you could put more detail into some characters still, but they worked out the surrounding to such a detail, and the main character, as well. Plus, they give you a world free to navigate, whilst we don't even get the fridge on rollerskates anymore in ME3. Basically...I believe the one can learn from the other, but I give Obsidian a lead for they know story.

And yes, ME2 was the best - we were outlaws, the graphics improved vastly, Tali was there from the start and finally romancable, and we could win the day in the end and get the nods from our complete crew for a job well done. ME3 started with bombing the world back to the stone age, a lot of diplomacy, Tali's somewhere in the back third of the game, and in the end you feel like you helped dooming everybody. So, yeah. Worse than ME1 in many ways.

@Gamergirl, maybe you could upload another pic with the same filename, perhaps it would over write?

Edit: Also that could be quite funny if anyone went back through the old posts, depending on what you replace it with. For instance you could put up a bowl of petunia's and everyone would be saying how cute they look and it'd be even more confusing when it turns up under "Human Tali" under google.

didn't work...

Yeah, there are a lot of creepy people around, like me. People who would use you as a poster child for Tali, Pandas and everything combining those two.

I love the oversaving part. Did you try that? And did you try refresh, maybe you're seeing a cache thing.

Lol. So if Tali were too look up pictures of herself snuggling she'd be in for quite a shock.

Everything that goes on the Internet, stays on the Internet. Between things like archive.org, Google cache, thousands of research institutions (including the one I work for) continuously building historical archives of the web, and people privately mirroring things you post elsewhere, you simply cannot actually delete anything. Even if it's no longer available at the original URL, it's not usually actually gone.

The best way to treat the Internet is as if it's impossible to delete things, even in places where it looks like you can. So never put anything on the Internet that you don't want to be around forever.

Ahh yeah I remember school had something a couple of years ago warning us about all of that. They had some investigator guy come in and he put up a bunch of pictures of students that he just found by googling them. The reactions were pretty funny.

Just a shame their plots can leave something to be desired sometime, especially with the ending. Has to be said though, they are capable of it. I loved the end of ME2 (including the whole suicide mission). Which in many ways made me even more disappointed (were it possible) at the ME3 end. Perhaps part of the reason why most people find ME2 the best game is because Bioware focused on their strengths - the characters.

I could not be more agree with your statement... and that is the very reason ME3 ending is so annoying... cause in the end they threw away all that effort on characters and relationships development.

It just doesn't matter what happened (and your choices) in the whole three games... It is like making a trip and not getting to a destination... the road simply comes to an end.

Too bad BW missed the chance to finish their work the way it deserved

I appear to have beaten the inline-skater who's my namesake in Google rankings. Yay me?

Hehe. Haven't beaten my switzerland namesake. He has the Deviantart account. But most of the other things are mine, and I'm satisfied with that. Dunno if somebody has the account here, or if I managed to make one back in the days for work and forgot the password, but well. True before it fixed that and now the account is linked to my games, anyway - or, t'other way round.

Googling Tali is always fun. However, I have the safeties off. So sometimes it's weird. Gamer still doesn't show there.

Don't worry. The trouble we're talking about is getting RID of it. We won't link it again, but until panda tali has found a solution how to get her cute image off the web, you can still check back on the thread a couple of pages.

You try googling my name and google essentially tells you "WTF, I don't think that person even exists."

@TrueMadayar

Your right about the post apocalyptic thing. I always end up thinking back to "A boy and his dog" great post apocalyptic movie and the boys attitude to women is likely realistic in the setting (for those that haven't seen that movie, it's very much about the sex).

Tali's development probably was partially just chance, but it still required a solid base for the chance to succeed. Given how little comparitive attention she got in ME1, I'd say they did well. Perhaps it was just the advantage that the whole Quarian thing was interesting enough in itself, that and the cute voice. But yeah, it didn't really kick into top gear for any of the characters until ME2 (we didn't have to rely on having conversations in lifts for a starter). Which could make my Fallout comparison a bit unfair as very few characters get to repeat across Fallouts (I think only one actually repeated in the flesh (several get mentioned) and they had a much smaller role in FNV). Still, I do think character development is biowares main strength.

It's certainly not realistic water :D

I actually wasn't that keen on the plot of ME2. Didn't like the sudden switch around with Cerberus or blowing up the Normandy. But even then it's still probably my favourite (though it was ME1 that had the wow factor for me, being my introduction to that universe).

Hmm it appears my removing the picture from image shack didn't do very much at all... Problematic.

Well see my professor is nice and sent me corrections (aka what I could do better) so I'm following her guidelines.

True. Also, I got online very shortly after you went offline, so maybe that's that. Also, it's probably tagged as "human Tali" and spread as we speak.

Huh...interesting. Well, then you better do it just like that.

Nope it's still there...
Anyone know how to destroy the link so the image is no longer viewable?

Most image sites will take a bit to pull the image off the servers. So if you deleted it, it will likely still show up on the server or in cache for a few hours.

But I admit my experience with image shack is fairly limited. So I'm not sure the specifics behind it.

The pictures Google finds of me aren't from social media, as I'm careful to make sure all my Facebook stuff is set to private. There's stuff from my website, though, and a lot of stuff from a developer forum where I post using my real name. This forum is also a video site and I've appeared in a handful of their videos, and it will find those too.

If you put my user name from here in Google Image search it will find a lot of pictures from this thread and some from my YouTube channel, and no pictures of me personally. I guess that proves that BSN is more popular than my YouTube channel (big surprise there).
