Space Magic cast by the Big Bad is a diabolus ex machina. Have a theory, that the redsplosion ending is actually using the Crucible, whereas bluesplosion and greensplosion are Starchild modifying it. (letting the big bad touch your macguffins is usually a BAD idea.
Hopefully ending DLC doesn't put the kibosh on this one like with Indoc.

Space magic's a universal feeling of hatred for most people I've come across. Still hate that I wasn't given an option to debunk star kid's logic...but I'm still hoping the new DLC coming out in summer makes the ending suck less.

I wouldn't call making a free extended cut edition DLC 'lazy'.
If that's bad, then we can break out the torches and pitchforks flashlights on our shotguns.

It was actually a patch to fix some issues.  Only noticable issue is the one with face importing, but someone said it worked somewhat.  I sure hope they change their minds about the bug with missing dialog in the engineering section, because missing out all of that dialog is a BIG issue.  It's more than a line or 2 of missing dialog.

'Fans' another name for 'consumers.'
Killing themselves as company. Have been seeing many people swearing off EA/Bioware entirely. ME3 cheapened to nearly half original sell price, many still on shelves not sold.
Crisis point. Are ignoring it for war with Retake movement. Don't realize that if their PR 'beats' us, they lose too.

Indeed. Entire Ken/Gabby subplot, and Tali/Garrus conversation over radio. And engineering conversation concerning modification Tali'Zorah thought useful.

To be fair, *nobody* on the principal dev team is lazy. Pressed for time, capable of making poor decisions, sure, but you don't get to be on a AAA title team by being lazy.

As for Space Magic... I think it's theoretically possible, at least in the cases of Control and Destroy. Synthesis, on the other hand, that just stretches believability to the breaking point and beyond. And that's not even counting the half-shod explanation we got from the Catalyst regardin that option- that just makes it worse.

On topic: I really like that pic posted at the top of this page. Not entirely sure what's going on there, but Tali being held by Shepard and whispering little things to him is a win in my book.

Edit: picture I referred to is at the top of the last page. Thread  moves so fast...

The biggest question I have is Star child says Sheperd will most likely die because he has cibernitic implants in Red ending

if this is true, then Anyone that is a biotic would die because they have implants, Quarians use implants to intact with their suits so Quarians die, and Soilder with Cibernatic enhancemants would die.

the endings Break Narrative Cohision so bad it is not funny at all

The starchild was never the problem for me. Sure, I don't like him (I didn't like that kid from the first moment we saw him in the introduction), but it's not the biggest issue with the ending.

The main issue is lack of connection, lack of closure, lack of emotional catharsis, lack of visible impact of your choices throughout the trilogy. If they can fix that with the "extended cut", I'll be okay with it, even if I probably still won't like the starchild. Having an opportunity to question and challenge the starchild would also help a lot.

I never believed BioWare would turn the entire ending around. As a writer, if people told me they hated the ending to a story I'd written, I'd try to improve it within the framework of what I had intended, not throw out the baby with the bath water.

Exactly what I was thinking when I used the word 'antagonist'
Hell, perhaps I should have said villain. Anyway, hopefully my red explosions would come with a side-order of good epilogue next time.

Biotics don't depend on their implants to survive. And Shepard can apparently survive, so the starchild was either wrong or lying anyway.
