The starchild was never the problem for me. Sure, I don't like him (I didn't like that kid from the first moment we saw him in the introduction), but it's not the biggest issue with the ending.

If they can fix that with the "extended cut", I'll be okay with it, even if I probably still won't like the starchild. I never believed BioWare would turn the entire ending around. As a writer, if people told me they hated the ending to a story I'd written, I'd try to improve it within the framework of what I had intended, not throw out the baby with the bath water.

When someone puts so much detail into something only for them to make so many major errors later on, you know something is up. At least, that's how I see the whole thing here.

The reason I come to this thread is because it's *usually* one of the more positive areas of the forums despite occasional creepiness. If this devolves into another festering open wound of negativity and jumping to conclusions like the rest of the forum cancer, I'm gone.

It is 40 mins long but is very good at showing how epically bad Bioware screws the ending.

A lot of those videos going around...

But this one does it real good, going into the literaly break the ending causes, it not opinionated, it is historically factual.

Have you seen it yet?

I got my English teacher to show it to her current class. she though is was great just on the literary history part.

I do believe this thread needs MOAR TALI and less discussion of the endings not related to Tali. Since the LIs don't really inquire too much about what went on while Shepard was stuck (and bored) on earth, a little scenario floated into my mind.

Some time after reuniting, during an intimate moment in Shepard's cabin:

"Before the Collector base, Mordin told me how he got in contact with his favorite nephew. Needed perspective, couldn't "anthropomorphicize the galaxy", but putting a face to it gave him a reason to care. While I was stuck on earth, I had a lot of time to think on that. About how we got here, the faces of everyone I've met, the reasons I care. And every time, it came back to you"

"Shepard..."

"Also realized I've got a secret, one I'm not sure even you'll believe. *softly* Wanna hear?"

"Try me"

*Shepard's mouth moving from her neck to her ear as he speaks* "With or without the helmet, you are the most beautiful woman in the galaxy"

Posted this before, but never received notice as far as I'm aware. Figured I should bring it out again in an effort to get back on topic. And that's about as far as I'm willing to take my fan fiction production. XD

Meh, I was going to chime in about my feelings about the ending but...long story short, it doesn't make sense for the crew to disappear(among other plotholes). Hopefully that will be explained better in DLC instead of being left for wild speculation.
