Bad at dancing, bad at talking.  Yup, that sure sounds like Shepard.

It just bothers me that Shepard can say "I love you" to everybody except Tali.

Well he does kind of say it with the "keelah se'lai " before fighting the reaper, I.e I swear by the homeworld [That he reciprocates it], mabye they wanted to avoid a cliche there, but I am sure it would have been nice to hear it somewhere else.

I think the reason it was said is because she was being playful with Shepard so he played back.
"I didn't come up here just to see the fish... ;)"
"No, you came here because I asked you too. ;)"
He is implying playfully that he "owns" her in a sexually dominant kind of way. I dunno why I'm the only one who saw it that way... O_o

Didn't feel like the right context for keelah se'lai, to me.  You usually hear it when somebody says goodbye.

Hmmm, It could be seen that way, but mabye whoever directed Mark did not get him to say it that way. He seems not so playful the way he says it.

EDIT,

Also might depend on which side of the relationship you would prefer to be on :D

I have had an absolutely horrible day so I'm gonna steal Tali's "Emergency Induction Port" and go to the bar.

I agree with this.  There was times I honestly felt like those two were still flirting eventhough Tali was with Shepard.  ex: Her reaction to the chocolate he got.  That part should have probably been different for romanced Tali, but I just shrugged it off as my imagination or not interpting what was said correctly.

Just a question to all my fellow Talifans,

Thinking about Shepards LI convo with Tali in his cabin Mid me3, I don't really get the meaning, I am probably being a bit thick, I am getting the impression that shep is worried at first that Tali is too distracted by her new position for them to continue to be together, and after she makes her comment about not coming to see the fish, he goes "No, you came up here because I asked you too" I.E she came out of past loyalty not becuase she wanted to, is shepard still concerned about how she feels at this point? I know by the end of the convo things are sorted out but its that bit that confuses me.

Although I agree the dialogue was a little ......... confusing ....... I think what they were trying to get across was that some time has passed since Tali and Shep last saw each other, situations have changed (Shep's incarceration, Tali's promotion etc.), and I think they were trying to see if things had changed between them. Shep wants to know if she still has feelings for him, or if she's just there as a squadmate.
I do, however, have to say that, after watching all of the LI romances in ME3, I think Shep seems to show the most vulnerability with Tali:wub:

I think Dr. Michel has had something for Garrus for a while. You can see it in her e-mail in ME2. Don't know if he felt the same.

Well, not sure 'owns' is how I would put it but....  Oh what the hell, yes.  OWNS!
A number of interactions that Shepard had with Tali had a bite to them, almost angry and did not match the present mood of the conversations.

I can understand the time appart stuff, I just feel that was covered in their first conversation in the war room, and a lot of that was retrod before they got to the still want to be toghether part.

Actually, I took away the feeling that Tali was definitely teasing Garrus because he did not understand the implied interest that Dr. Michele was showing.
Garrus = clueless noob.

I do have to admit, though... Several of the Liara romance interactions in ME3 are identical to the friendship ones, so pretty much all of the romances got shortchanged in one way or another.

It could have been a form of Solo'ing her. That is, given their location at the time replying to "I love you" with "By the homeworld I hope to see someday", could be a bit like saying "I know". Because, you know, I got your homeworld back, of course you love me.

Still, I took it as a reciprocation anyway.

This might also be part of a confirmed bug related to Kaiden surviving Virmire, or not being nice enough to Ashley in ME3 if she survived. It kills a HUGE chunk of dialogue in engineering. Don't remember if there was a lot more Tali/Shepard dialogue that gets slashed because of it though.

That's eventually one of the conclusions I came to as well.  It wasn't my initial thought though when I first saw it.

No, at least not to me.  Her tone was definitely playful, no bite in it.
But I was torqued off that there was no way Shepard could give her gift as well.

Chocolate is supposed to be for Ashley I believe, but I think if you buy more than one gift, only one of them is shown.
