Yeah pretty spot on.  At this point I figure Shep is thinking "It's been six months and I've missed her, I know she has missed me too."  And then realizing how she can be he needed to make her very sure where he stood.  This gave her the confidence enough to be just as honest back.

And yes you can tell they are both comfortable with each other in how they act together.  Felt very natural for them imho.

I'm not too bad, but i don't think it helps that i'm left handed. Also, it always ends up looking...rough and ready, even tho it could be a masterpiece.

Well, it's more than just the dialog suggesting that. See: quarian pounce.
Not saying it's for sure. But it's a very likely possibility. Know the saying "when the gloves come off?". Well, it's like that, but an *entire suit*. Which rarely ever does, and certainly not in this particular arena prior to less than a year ago as of ME3.

Yes it is great how she communicates with you throughout the rest of the game. I guess it would be unavoidable to be awkward when first talking in such a long time, anyway
