Yeah, when I first saw the scene where Shep and Tali got back together, I was a bit curious as to what happened after it faded to black. I guess the little message you get courtesy that app pretty much resolves any lingering doubt. XD
Plus, with Quarian's weakened immune systems, a single "encounter" probably wouldn't be enough to "vaccinate" them, so to speak. Especially if it had been 6+ months earlier. So Tali's new immunity makes a bit more sense if there had been a bit more opportunity for... inoculation. XD

EA won't let them die slowly. Everything is going to hit more or less at the same time. EA will realize that BW is now a money sinkhole, gamers everywhere will realize that they hold all the power in the industry, and things will explode. Well, from what I've been reading about the clarification extended cut thing, there won't be a galactic dark age(FTL gets upgrades and/or Mass Relays eventually get rebuilt), no one starves and if you picked destroy, you get to reunite with your crew very shortly after the reapers are destroyed.
