Well I have a Tali topic though Im not sure if it's been discussed since this thread grows so fast. lol

Do you guys think that Tali still finds the name vas Normandy to be something associated as negative? or do you think it's something that she takes pride in because of her time, friends, and accomplishments on the Normandy; as well as Shepard. ;) Or do you think she still views it as negative but only likes it when the title comes from Shepard's lips as "Miss vas Normandy"?

I think she was proud to keep it after her trial, (with positive outcome)

I know, what I mean is, IS there a practical reason for Turian/Quarian shoes to separate the induvidual digits out, or is it just an artistic choice so a player can glance at their feet and see the number of toes they have

is it just an artistic choice so a player can glance at their feet and see the number of toes they have... you said it.

Tali size lol, anyway I always wondered about the Quarian and Turian shoes, there is no reason for them to have the induvidual digits separately other than to show to us that they have 3 toes... but I suppose it could make it easier for them to walk depending on their structure

Actually only humans and asaris have or shows 5 fingers in they hands and feet

I believe he was meaning how the turian and quarian toes are clearly defined in their suits/armor, but human, asari, and batarian toes are not, due to the rounded shoes.  However, as Biggles mentioned, it could be that it makes it easier for them to walk.

I reckon she likes it, she does seem to lvoe the Normandy and the crew, especially a certain commander ;)

First words out of her mouth when returning to the Normandy in ME3 (if not romanced): "Tali'Zorah vas Normandy reporting for duty"

By the same logic though we should honour the caveman who decided not to brain shepards ancestor, and every twist of fate possible, we will be here all day:D

As I repeatedly stated, Vigil said that the Prothean Scientists of Ilos locked the Citadel, thus delaying the next cycle of the Reapers by centuries. We needed two centuries from now to meet Tali. If they hadn't done that, Humanity would've reached the next cycle, not this one. And the Quarians would've been extinct.

So, Prothean Scientists made Tali date possible.

I'm pretty sure she stopped disliking it from the moment Shepard managed to get her acquitted. Image IPB

Yes, but shepard could have not dated Tali if his ancestor had been brained by a caveman, if the balloon had gone up in the cold war, if that bus driver was not paying attention to pedestrians, whatever outcome of the various future conflicts that take place before the discovery of the prothean ruins, I agree Tali would not exist without them, but shepard could very easily not exist as well.

At first Tali seems to feel a bit awkward about the title "vas Normandy".

Serving on a human ship instead of a quarian one must feel a bit like a slap to the face for a quarian.
But after the ME trilogy every quarian would be proud to have served on this ship.
Unless you sided with the Geth of course...

Surprise.
Look what they wear in Japan.

They also have these socks here, to keep the toes more flexible.

And let me tell you: those things are bloody difficult to walk on. Modern Japanese very rarely wear them, though.

Those have to be the most impractical thongs (yes they are called thongs here, not stupid flip flops) I have ever seen.

I forgot we have an expert from Japan here. ;P

Yes, getas aren't worn by modern Japanese anymore...maybe in some rural places.
But that proves the point that quarian footwear does make sense somehow.

Is tali...

How much do we want tal...

Oh dear

Erm... Is Talis hood/shall thingy fire retardent?

Well she does mention that she was set on fire if she was sent in the vents, so either she was exagerrating after 6 months, joking, or there's no fire protection on those suits.

Considering Shepard seems to use that as a pet name for her, I doubt it.
Unless Joker actually tried to get her in a sash and tiara. That might
be awkward.

Random Tali Thought? Do you all think Tali wrote Sheperd when he was locked up after the events of Arrival DLC. I mean, it makes sense if they are in a relationship to stay in touch. I'm sure it's hard when your in space, but if Tali loves Shep so much I would have thought one of them would have sent letters.

I would have loved to see some emails from Tali on Shep computer talking about how she would be waiting for you when you got out. Maybe some DLC mission which deals with tali mainly and what was going on with the geth war while Shep was loved up. That would be so awesome. We visit her room on the flotilla and see a picture of Shep next to her bed ;)

Sorry, but I'm infected with Tali-fan-itis now and I love having it :)

Yes some people do, wear funny shoes like that, but unless we assume the separated toes are important to quarian and turian locomotion, it seems a poor design for a EVA or enviro suit that needs to be durable and protect the wearer.  However its probably just a choice to  highlight their alieness, and at the end of the day I like Talis feet design so its not really a problem

I believe talking about gamer_girl, aka Panda Tali, should become honorary "on topic", since she's the official spokesperson of the thread and Panda Tali Extraordinaire. And yes, sounds like a deal. When Zombie Apocalypse comes, we assemble around Pandatlas.

Should we honour the Protheans for allowing us to meet Tali?

Haha and to think, you used to dislike me. XD
Now you want to make discussing me "on topic". rofl

But yes, we should honour the protheans. If not only for Javik being a funny Jamaican brudda.

They're not exactly "flip-flops" anyway, since they're made of wood. I've heard them referred to as Japanese clogs, which isn't exactly accurate either.

I use normal thongs regularly, and can walk on them easily. But geta are just impossible.

Indeed.  But if I were you, id keep my eye on Javik, especially if you let him touch the memory shard; he may not be willing to seek peace with himself after the war.

..unless they add wheels to them. And a rocket engine. Then getas are incredible.

Well, about Tali....err.....
...does anyone know why her visor is purple ? Is that her favorite color ?
Does the color have to do with the ship she was born on ?

I'm used to calling them flip flops so reading about you guys wearing "thongs" was disturbing to me until I realized what was being talked about.
