It looks like most visors are darker colors, so it could just be a personal choice, sorta like the colors for the suit itself. Maybe a little Tali got three choices, and decided that she liked the purple en-, I mean suit, the best.EmperorZorn wrote...

Well, about Tali....err.....
...does anyone know why her visor is purple ? Is that her favorite color ?
Does the color have to do with the ship she was born on ?

Dunno if they allowed him to send any sort of messages to anyone whilst detailed; judging by what James says, I doubt he was able to send anything, he was on tight lockdown. But, it is still possible. I would certainly try and make a attempt to keep in touch with Tali even if I was incarcerated.

And I never not liked you. I just built up the usual barriers, girls close to Tali are dangerous folk.

Yes the only positive part of his incarceration was that he was not locked up in solitary, but had a kind of appartment room. I would imagine any messages he could send would be heavily monitored anyway, so anything he sent to Tali would have to be very unemotional or simple

Hmm, you are correct, it could be dangerous, maybe even lethal; might even get me banned.
But the priiize...actually, scratch that, the prize isn't worth it. I've already scared poor gamer_girl with my conspriacy theories and such, she deserves breathing room like us. After all, she's scared to death of zombies, and he doesn't like the idea of going paranoid or insane...

Random Tali Thought? Do you all think Tali wrote Sheperd when he was locked up after the events of Arrival DLC. I mean, it makes sense if they are in a relationship to stay in touch. I'm sure it's hard when your in space, but if Tali loves Shep so much I would have thought one of them would have sent letters.
I would have loved to see some emails from Tali on Shep computer talking about how she would be waiting for you when you got out. Maybe some DLC mission which deals with tali mainly and what was going on with the geth war while Shep was loved up. That would be so awesome. We visit her room on the flotilla and see a picture of Shep next to her bed
Sorry, but I'm infected with Tali-fan-itis now and I love having it
Would be nice too, mabye the alliance was not letting him message anyone, worried he was spying for cerb still perhaps
Good point
Im sure they were monitoring all his stuff. Save the world and still no respect lol

Damn alliance! First they lock me up, then they wreck the normandy by putting in a stupid scanner every time I leave/enter the war room, and now I get sub-par crew! Figures...the quarians would never let this happen on any of their ships.

Yeah, I'm sure you guys are right. The alliance was more than likely keeping him on a tight lease which is pretty messed up. I mean, even prisoners in our day and age get letters. I still think it was messed up they did that to him. How dare they keep Tali from Shep? Lol
In my reality, Tali sent letters everyday and even though she didn't get respond from Shep she kept sending them mowing one day he will get them
The last few months she would have been busy with their silly war too, probably limits on comms outside the fleet
I am sure she would try where she could though, they probably knew/discussed it would be hard to stay in touch for a while when they had to part ways

The excuse for the scanner is that in war times people get crazy and because Collectors attack Normandy and they kidnapped the entire crew. I can understand the first reason but could that scanner stop the Reapers if the aboard Normandy?

If you are looking for concealed weapons your not doing a very good job [waves gun in face]. Since they semed to be on a mission of diplomacy most of the time it makes sense to make sure all their guests and visitors are who they say they are, and not filled with reaper tech or somthing.

Better than the "decontamination in progress" scanner on the sr1

I will admit that despite the presence of the scanner, as well as the fact that the mass relay transport cutscene is slightly longer, the load times in-game are MUCH better when compared to Mass Effect 2 on the PC. I'm not sure just how good or bad the load times are compared Mass Effect 1, but its generally good enough. I hear that Xbox360 users are not so lucky with load times...
