A) you tried to sleep during the day? It don't matter what time i go to bed, i could stay up all night and be physically unable to sleep during the day. Its like my body telling me that i'm not an owl, so i will be awake when the sun is up!

B)i'm sensing the whole ben stiller/rob de niro situation in meet the parents...

A) yeah... I know some people who can turn off sleep and awakedness on the flip of a button. I thought I'd try it out, as sleep has eluded me these past few days. Unfortunately, I met no restfulness, only restlessness and now my eyes sting... bleh.

Regarding: the fanfiction

I had the idea of writing about a Turian/Krogan MP squad on Condor base. Just played my first match on it and had a lot of fun while also noticing that it's actually a damn-easy and well defensible place for the most part. Least to me it was.

Wanted it to start with the Krogans coming from Wrex and leave when the fleets are pulling back for the Crucible.


I'm going to write it myself, at least in part, but I had the idea of having multiple writers write it, four authors (myself included) writing two chapters each (8 waves) and everyone writing part of wave 10/extraction, with me writing wave 1/intro.

Anyone interested?

I'll go a week with abour 3 hours a night sleep then come the weekend sleep 14 hours in one shot.   That's the best I can do.  Being a night owl doesn't help.

In meet the parents rob de niro plays the father of ben stillers fiance. in traditional fashion, de niro doesn't trust stiller and makes his life a living hell, doing checks on his background and such (niro is retired cia), waiting for stiller to slip up.

Newly accepted Theory for the evolution of Quarians. Although Quarians have shown themselves quite similar to humans it's come to attention that Quarians are actually evolved from a different, yet still earth bound, species. Velociraptor. At first thought you might say something like "Woah there Slinky, Y U slinkin' us?" to which I might reply "Because that's what slinkies do". But hear me out.

Evidence 1: Social Interaction

Velociraptors, while capable predators, were primarily strong because of their social bonds and pack mentality. Very similar to the situation with the Quarians who are an emotional and social culture. The Quarians act in well coordinated groups to make up for their shortcomings compared to the species around them. By doing this they can minimize the risk and share the spoils amongst each other...much like the lack of possessions amongst the Quarians. Everything is gathered for use by the group.

Evidence 2: Appearance

First, you may point out a Quarian looks nothing like a raptor. This may indeed be. But they have evolved much farther. You can still see some similarities between a Quarian and a raptor though.



Take a look at this Quarian photo for a moment. Beautiful yes but holding the secret of their evolutionary roots. First draw your attention to the legs. You'll notice the predatory bend just above the feet. Also their claw like fingers should pull your attention after that. Now, let us look at a raptor.



You'll notice the same three-fingered claw set-up and a similar backwards bend above the feet. Suspicious.

Evidence 3: Scavenge

Recent studies have suggested, though not proven, that the velociraptor may have engaged in scavenger behavior. That is they would eat the leftovers of other predators or older prey. The Quarians too take in any old tech and ships that the other races have deemed useless. They make do with what they can find, moving from place to place, and scavenging for the things they need.

Evidence 4: The Quarian Pounce

We've seen the prime example. Tali, the finest Quarian in the galaxy, has engaged in such predatory behavior as pouncing her victims. Thankfully as the Quarians have evolved past the razor sharp teeth and desire for human flesh...it was a harmless gesture of romance. However, it is unmistakeably the work of nature's finest predator.

Be aware fellow forumites. Be aware and always, ALWAYS double check under the mask. Or you'll never know what you'll find!
