I think it's about time people started feeling empathetic. It's not like the devs are robots that are intentionally trying to make a bad game (ME3 wasn't even bad, it was great just the ending was flawed). They are real people trying to make the best game they can and actually aren't perfect just like every other human being on the planet. Everyone makes mistakes or have bad judgement calls. But they're only human - I think people are bing a bit too harsh and have shoved really pointy sticks up their own bums just for drama's sake.
though yes we should be empathic towards the devs that does not absolve them of the mistake that was made. Honestly alot of people would calm down if they just came out said.. "We Made a mistake" instead they have taken a stance of aggorrance and vain paid...its very hard to be empathic towards. They should follow Modins example...
"My mistake, my responibilty, have to do this."
Casey Hudson nor Mac Walters have faced any of the heat, they have hid behind, PR , Jesscia Meltzan and other people letthing them take the heat for them.
Because I mean really what would it hurt to add a simple retconn, tweak everything some and just add the option to reject the Catalyst?
Still we digress and trend off topic this thread about Tal and not the charlie foxtrot of the endings...

Can I just interject, just for one minute, so I can reiterate for about the thousandth time that the Bioware dev's CAN'T say anything bad about the game, regardless of their own opinions, unless EA lets them (which they haven't and likely won't)???? It's not arrogance and/or vanity!!! It's not wanting to get fired/face legal action from their parent company!!

Think of it as something akin to a non-disclosure agreement, only it's if you say something negative that potentially hurts the sale of your product you get sued.
I'm done. Continue Tali-ness stuff.
