Soooooooo not to happen.^_^

Nothing wrong with being a little renegade every now and then...it's part of being neutral.

So Patrick Weekes wrote my two favourite characters, Mordin and Tali (and also Garrus in ME2). Deep respect for the man.

You're watching the vid of PAX, right? That man positively gushed about Tali, I was most amused.

It's understandable. As a writer, you get very attached to your characters. You don't just write them, you're in their head a lot of the time, figuring out what they want to do, how they would react.

And it's very clear that the deep love that all of these writers have for the characters they're writing translates into some of the most memorable characters I've seen. That love makes it onto the screen, and it's what makes 99% of ME3 so great. It's what makes the Tuchanka and Rannoch missions so great. It's what makes the little interlude on the Citadel with Garrus great. It's what makes Liara's time capsule scene great.

There are almost no characters in ME that I think are bad characters. There are those that are jerks and I dislike them for that (*cough*Udina*cough*) but they're still good characters. I found Kaidan a bit boring, and Zaeed just annoys me with his endless anecdotes and "look at what a badass I am" attitude. But that's the extent of it.

It's why I find the romance wars so tiring. Who cares if other people want to romance Ashley, or Liara, or Miranda, or Jack. They are all good characters too. We have our Tali. Let them have their favourites, I see no harm in that.

Indeed. And that saved life will create peace, and unite the Geth and Quarians. Creator and Created again. Scrap metal is... of the table!

For the last post:

Yes. As a writer you get attached to the character. You even put a piece of yourself into it.

Am I the only one who didn't even give Tali and Xen the chance to speak and instantly supported Tali?

It was in one of the leaked scripts. Sorry, don't have that one available anymore. Xen says something almost exactly like, "Are you sleeping with him Tali? Did someone get their induction port popped on pilgrimage, or are you just stupid?"

Hey comeon!  Tali and Shepard may not like the way Admiral Xen takes apart machines and uses them for horrific purposes, but if you had the chance to study the geth with their permission and within a set of moral guidelines, would you pass up the chance?  Or would you slide that chance off the table?

Speaking of scrap metal. How many people actually destroyed the geth station in ME2?

Personally I thought destroying was better... until I got 30 renegade points. Still I don't think brainwashing people is a good thing to do.

It is stragne, at first paragon reactions to the re-write action seem to dissaprove, but the morality seems to switch right at the end, you could argue since they were probably brainwashed in the first place by saren, brainwashing them back to normal is justified, but letting them die with their belifs intact seems to be the paragon way... its a hard call really

The fate of the geth station is a good example of choices that benefit either way you take.

In ME2, my first character destroyed the station, because Tali made a good point: "What if the geth suddenly turn on the creators?"  and even Legion himself stated that there was a non-zero probability that rewriting the geth may not work." so I blew it up to be on the safe side.

I guess if you intend to save both the geth and the quarians, you could just rewrite them, as even though you lose quarian assets, you make that up for the geth assets you gain.  However, I feel more comfortable destroying the geth, as it makes the mission easier and helps save some of the quarians.

I think this scene could be made more humerous if Admiral Gerrel walked in:

Gerrel: Hi guys, what's going.. *UGH*
Shepard: GET THE HELL OF MY SHIP!

There were several places in the games where I didn't agree with which choices were paragon or renegade, and that was one of them. Another was the discussion with Vigil on Ilos about shutting off life pods. The choice was simple: either everyone dies, or some are sacrified so that others may live. And if the protheans had chosen to try and save everyone, this cycle would've been reaper chow centuries ago. And agreeing with that was renegade? By that logic a "paragon" Shepard should've let the reapers invade in arrival. There's a difference between "not being ruthless" and "never making any sacrifices regardless of the cost".

That wasn't cut, though. That conversation is in the game.

I remember Tali and Garrus screwing up Fero's because of their proximity mines and sabotage which can kill colonists. Aha I was suprised to see a little girl dropping a big krogan with carnage.

Also recall one of Tali's quotes on the Normandy SR1.
"You have been good to me, and that says something about you".

The begining of the romance!
