Tali is one of the few squadmates who react when you punch the reporter.

It's a nice little detail.

But then you couldn't point a gun at her head... Or punch her.

I'm not a violent brute so that's fine with me.

Same here, no matter how much of a jackass Al-Jilani has shown herself to be, I've never punched her in either ME1 or ME2 - I much more prefer to use the Intimidate option of "Don't disrespect the dead" in ME2 to turn the interview around on her and make her look like the idiot on her news program. :P

Thats the adult way of doing it. Damage her mentally/emotionally and lessen her credibility, don't physically harm her. Does way more damage to her than you, and lifts your standing in life.

No, she doesn't say anything.

It's just an animation:

Tali Thread isn't getting anymore topics. Or we can keep continuing this one.

Tali is the new Thane.

Tali is also the new Santa Clause.

Something I find funny about that animation is the way Tali's face makes her look anything but shocked

It almost looks like she's turned on when Shepard punches Khalisah. Posted Image

Maybe she isn't shocked. Maybe she's actually smiling happily.

Squealing like an excited girl.

One thing I want from ME3, cuz I wasn't able to get it with ME2, I want mah T-Shirt :D
With Tali on it, that would be awesome.

But at any rate, Tali is funny when you do some weird stuff on the Citadel and you have her and not garrus with you.

"Sounds almost like a certain Turian we know." spoken in a laughing voice. During the chat with that C-Sec officer at the Citadel. When asked about "Making him scream"

@InkognitoY: I'm not a big fan of those type of videos but that was so cute.

@Flashheart: Hah, who knows, quarians are hard to read. Maybe she likes brute Shepard.

@Havoc: And that's one of the reasons why I don't visit the Citadel before Haestorm.
The council and Anderson can wait.

@Saphra: Yeah, she has some good lines in the first 5 missions.

It really is a shame we can't bring Tali to Mordin's recruitment mission without modding the game. I loved her animation where she tells Mordin that the Quarians and Geth need to put aside old grudges to fight the common enemy. If this line was in the unmodded game, some people would have a very different opinion of how Tali views the Geth.

I do visit the Citadel, to recruit Kasumi, and to buy some stuff, I don't trigger any quest flags yet.

I had no idea that was in there! There seems to be quite a lot of unused interactions in the game. It sounds like all the interactions and story were written for ME2 first, then gameplay was added which constrained which characters you can get at what time. I think it would have been better if ME2 allowed you to recruit the characters at any time, without constraint.

The constraints were added when it was found that the game would require two disks. So, they decided to cram as much into the first disk as they could before moving to the second disk. Unfortunately, this means that the recruitment was divided up as well.

If you play on PC you can mod to allow you to do the recruitment missions for whatever squad member you want early. Heres the guide for how to do it: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/105/index/1585456

I'll do that next time I'm playing ME2, never thought of it.

ROFL. wow, never thought of opening with the Styx but hey, it's perfect. And Tali's skin was gray in that flick but it actually doesn't look that bad.

Actually, she says that they need to set old grudges aside with Cerberus.

Hmm, this page doesn't have a pic:

I have a feeling that Bioware had the geth looking over Rannoch because they wanted players to sympathize them more, to make the decision between quarians and geth (if you aren't going for peace) that much more difficult.

What, you mean in a "If you go to war against the Geth to reclaim Rannoch, they blow it up?"

Ah, I guess you are thinking the Geth have gone down the "blackmail" route? You believe the Geth are holding on to it for 'leverage' purposes? I'd forgotten about that possibility!

Not to mention Rannoch would be really good leverage for Geth in peace negotiation. If the planet is habitable and Geth are ready to give it to Quarians, you can bet Quarians would be ready to go quite far to full fill those condition.

Also if Rannoch is habitable and Geth wants to give it to them, then peace is more likely.

Then again I doubt that Geth had sustained Rannoch because they thought it could help to get peace with Quarian. They had some other reasons. And somehow I think that Geth wouldn't even think about the possibility of giving Rannoch back to Quarians if they would agreed with peace, if Shepard (and you as player) wouldn't mention this possibility.
