I agree it comes off trashy, and that starts to get into erotic fiction territory. I think people get the hint that if people are dating they're likely going to do things. But I guess if you really want something like that in your fanfic, go right ahead.

It's all in the execution.

EDIT: BY VECTRON'S BLOODY GAZE, TELL ME WHERE THE OBESE TALI FETISH ARTISTS LIVE SO I CAN KILL THEM.

I think all you really need is a subtle line/s which tells the reader what's about to happen and ends the scene well.

The problem I have with that kind of writing is that it sounds like one of those trashy romance paperbacks.

True, but i'm just trying to think of an example to write about having sex without making it porno...

They expressed their love with each other? Or is that bad...

I honestly think with what is written sex is already implied well enough. It doesn't need another push - that would just be a bit excessive.

Oh, i don't know. Writing romance is not what i do. I write adventure, and war, and blood 'n' guts, not gushy gushy woohoo...

I think Hinting to the audience that its about To Happen Is a good Way To end a scene.
Just Not in a trashy erotic novel style :P

Well, it puts a stop to potential awkwardness

Your posts are a pure agony to my eyes. That random capitalization could bring down harbinger pretty quickly.

Yes and that's already been done in the scene that was written by him.
To dwell on the implication is overkill.

I am not sure if you guys and girls saw what I posted a minute ago before you didn't respond due to thinking it  being off-topic then please just say but:

I know it took more than 1 Quarian to make a Geth but if Tali was to make one then what do you think it would be like?

Personality, Appearance, Style etc...

Edit: Lets hope you guys can see the picture this time...

I have no idea what kind of Get tali would design. Don't they have free will/are more individual now anyway?

Good Morning Ladies and Jellybeans, or afternoon or evening where applicable. Probably thinking two much but if Rannoch has a roughly 30 hour day, then how do you think Shepard will adapt, given that studies on people living in caves in isolation find that its really hard to break out of a 24 hour cycle despite their best efforts.

Then again we can assume if Shepard is living on the homeworld he will be basically retired anyway so he can sleep as much/structure his day as he wants I suppose.

Well I have to sleep now. I'll try to check in before school tomorrow, but if not I'll be here around the same time tomorrow. Going to be hard finding times to be here when you also are now :/
Well see ya!

Yeah, but the big advantage is that they're not in a cave, but have a daylight cycle. We know that a human's internal clock will reset itself based on daylight (that's how you get over jetlag), so hopefully that will help a bit. Though it will probably be hard. A human's internal clock is on a 24.5 hour cycle, we're really built for something close to that.

32.3 hours actually. It would be wierd. But a 24 hour cycle could work, rotating 8 hours per day.

Seems reasonable, I am sure a lot of human colonists on other worlds would have to deal with similar variations from earth conditions.

Hmm, well, compared to the likely drab interiors they have to put up with the stars may be the only environmental beauty they get to regularly enjoy. I can imagine a lot of them spend time gazing out to the stars longingly.

Yeah, I can imagine them dreaming of living on a planet at one of those dots. They might actually be disappointed by the limited starfield you get from within a planetary atmosphere.

Yeah, I spotted the Venus thing. Though not as much light pollution where I am, I'm impressed it was that visible in Tokyo.

It's not actually too bad as long as you're not in the middle of Shinjuku or Shibuya or one of the other big neon-filled districts. Planets tend to fairly easily visible, and at the moment we've got Mars chasing Venus chasing Jupiter. Jupiter is usually one of the brightest objects in the sky, but Venus is outshining it by a long shot at the moment.

The celestial ballet is awe-inspiring indeed! Free your mind! (seriously, watch that video, it's not Tali-related but it's awesome).
