The thing that bugs me is that you hardly ever see unrealistic males. (Pig man Chris Redfield the exception to that).

Just my rant for the day. XD

I dunno, with all the romcoms and romantic fiction, guys have a lot of impossible things to live up to too. Plus, I don't know how realistic the male images on screen are. Everyone has 6 packs and perfect stubble. To be fair, the fictional personalities are the bigger problem.

But anyway if it makes you feel better, most men don't hold themselves back for women with perfeect looks. The ones that do are usually either rich, famous, incredibly handsome themselves, all three of those or for some reason Ron Jeremy.

I'm not picking on Tali, I'm picking on the people that designed her body and Miranda's body, etc.
It's incredibly hard to find guys that are actually into you (most likely for this reason) I've met several guys who are average to less than average looks wise saying they'll settle for nothing but a 10.
And yet every day I see tons of average looking guys getting girlfriends. The same isn't the case for women. It is incredibly hard to find someone. That's just the way it is. At least here.

I agree. As much as i like Ashs makeover for example, i don't think it was necessary. She is a soldier after all, and a tomboy, not a glamour puss like miranda, who should be sexy and seductive because she was created to be 'perfect'.

There should be more joe public romances in things, i couldn't agree more.
But i WILL always put personality first.

Ashley isn't even alive in my playthrough! When I saw her new make over I was like: Really? Image IPB
Miranda well I don't care how 'perfect' she is, I don't like her personality and she always want's the person she wanted to mind-control to help her. Like you said, personality is what matters.

Meh, as tempting as love is in real-life, I say resist those temptations to the best of your ability and move on.  Sure, you see people every day that fall in love with each, and talk about all of these great times, but 90% of the time, they break up after a while.  And it doesn't have to be in a few months either, it can take 10+ more years.  My father and mother were married for 14 years when trouble started brewing and they eventually divorced.  And the worst part about the whole thing is that when it doesnt work out, you suffer both emotionally and financially.

I'm not sure if Tali'Zorah + Shepard represents the 10% that makes love work, or if the other people in this world represents the 10% as well.  But if you ask me, live a happy life that you persue, and save love for the afterlife, because in this mortal world, it is not worth persuing unless you wish to squander your resources and health.

It's not impossible for men. A lot of my guys friends have perfectly fine bodies and they don't even have to try for them. Problem with being a woman is nature needs you to store fat for a baby you won't be having for another 15 years. Unless you live at the gym or are bullemic, it's pretty hard to have the model-esque figure, let alone have the impossible figure that animated films/shows/video games consistently show. That's part of why I find it so damn irritating when guys on here are like "zomg Tali's so hot I just wanna bang her" I'm just thinking good for you wanting to bang an impossible figure.

But just forget it, I'm probably just wasting my breath and getting myself worked up in vain.

Miranda reveals in 3 that she reveresed events in that regard, it was TIM that wanted mind control, it was her who managed to convince him not to do it.

I just feel sorry for a lot of the characters, especialy Kadian, the main reasion why I saved him  over Ashley, at least she would imagine she is going to a better place...

I find that odd. But I have seen guys I felt were less attractive than myself (and I don't consider myself more then average at best) with very attractive girlfriends, so I won't deny it happens. These guys are normally douche bags though, but that for some reason seems to appeal to attractive women. It's the confidence thing I guess.

Still, I think you'll find a rather high number of lonely single guys in this thread that feel it's incredibly hard for guys to find someone too. Lonliness favours no gender. It's an equal opportunity employer.

It took me a while to adjust to how sexed up ME3 seemed to be. I really didn't see any need for that. Funny thing with Ash was the only bit I liked about her change was her having her hair down. As for Miranda. Yeah she's attractive, but I really didn't need that many butt shots. Lol. I found myself trying to like her despite her looks rather then because of them.

Hey don't be like that! You like everyone else, have the right to express your opinions to us and I would agree with you mostly. Most of the girls in my area go for the type which you know will fail in life after school as they are what they call 'hard' by bullying others and doing 'cool stuff'. So please, come out of your hole!

Well, let me put it this way. Any guy that isn't interested in you because you don't have the perfect body, is not worth getting involved with in the first place.

This. As a guy who plays many fighting games I can say I've seen plenty of unrealistic males. Alot of the males from Tekken, Dead or Alive, and Virtua Fighter may as well be unwear models; real male fighters have muscle but all of them aren't really ripped to perfection and most certainly do not have faces of models. Not all of us are bada** guy who can take out armies with a single pistol if required, and we most certainly don't have the perfect lines for every situation. Both genders run into realms of unrealistic expectations.

I'd gladly take an average woman who loves me for me, and love her for her along with her flaws just as she does for me. Unfortunately like Gamer I have had little success because girls I've been with want an unrealistic combination of celebrity looks and romantic comedy personaltiy. Im 180lbs and 6'2' which is thin for my height, kind, and care alot about the girls Im with and show it; but that often doesn't seem to matter.

In the case of Tali's figure I just chalk it up to her being an alien. We just found out how they look under those helmets let alone know what their internals are made up, or how they function to say it's impossible for her to be built that way. I agree on the Miranda and Ashley part though since they are human.

Anyway Gamer, if they aren't paying you any attention and brush you off because they want some fantasy woman they wouldn't be worth the time if they think that way.  There are better men out there.

Also Biggles, not only does Miranda say it in ME2 but in this scene she admits TIM stopped her from planting the control chip (skip to about 40 seconds in):

Edit: I love Tali, there im on topic!

180, 6'2? I'm 130, 6'1. I'm pretty much a scarecrow. But the expectations are all crap. Anyone who holds people to them is not worth being in a relationship with.

In a relationship, I believe both the body and the personality matters. However, when it comes to prioritizing which is important, the personality is FAR, FAR more important than the body. The body is almost nothing compared to the personality, but it is important, because after all, if your dating someone with no physical form (Shepard VI or EDI with no body), or with a form that is either hideous or potentially offensive, wouldn't that be awkward?

For me, Tali'Zorah Nar Rayya Vas Normandy's personality comes way before her body, especially since it could kill her if im not careful. While I admire how she decorates her suit, her suit I believe represents her culture, not her personality. Her attitude, her personality, all of that is priceless. You can engineer a perfectly good body with genetics, but not a personality. I won't lie though; I do wish we did get to see more of her, especially her face considering that in ME2, she unmasked herself for Shepard.

But, for what's it worth, having a good talk with her about stuff >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> seeing her body. I do hope that in the extended cut of ME3, we do get to see Tali's actual face rendered in-game. If Tali never, ever did reveal her body in any of the game sequences though, or never had intercourse, I would probably still love her for the person she is.

I fell first for Tali's voice, then her personality and finally her looks. If I was basing things on looks alone I'd probably have been trying to romance Samara (and actually that's because of her face not the matriarch boobs). Ultimately though I made my LI choice based on personality.

I agree.  Your unique insight and intelligence makes you a valuable part of the community.  We will always welcome you with open arms...and a hug, if you don't mind.  :)  I realize that there are a lot of guys who come on here expressing their love for Tali, which is totally fine, but there are also women who like Tali'Zorah for the woman she is, which is also fine as well.  I like the perspective you give because you see Tali in a sense that most would not.

That's sweet of you guys to say. I'm not trying to brood or anything, just sometimes when certain things are brought up it kind of causes a rant that I can't control. That's why I ususally stop myself from saying anything else because it would only get worse.
