Tali: What is her species' opinion on her? How do they view her? Is she an exemplary member or is she just your average quarian that so happens to be the admiral's daughter?
I do believe that after being on the Admiralty Board at the time the Quarians took back Rannoch would pretty much equal instant hero, regardless of what she did before. But before that, she did bring back the geth data for her pilgrimage, so that might have already helped her out in the Quarian perspective.

Both oddly creepy.

I think that for the most part, certainly up to me3, she is seen as just the daughter of an admiral, otherwise it would not take shep to come forward and remind them that talis a hero. She is also treated still like a child in me3, as she is only an admiral at that time because of her geth expertise. Any power she tries to use is ignored and trampled over by the other admirals power. Its not until the War is over that i think her people will finally view her for who she is, not what she knows or who shes related to

Complicated question. I imagine playing a crucial role in the Battle of the Citadel, as well as assisting in taking down the Collectors and taking back the Alerai would improve her standing.
And then pushing for peace at the critical moment of the Rannoch War, saving her species along with Shepard and Zal'Koris, and allowing the geth to see a new tomorrow - on top of being on the ground team in the final push against the Reapers?
Before the Rannoch War? She is treated as a young one, who doesn't know what she's doing, due to gallavanting off with some human hero.
After? She'd probably be the standard all others are held against, for until she's fully lost to the murky depths of history, and maybe even beyond.

What does Tali act like in Mass Effect 3 if you exiled her daddy?
I don't know...If you exile her daddy, she isn't loyal, so chances are she dies in collector base...

And since Quarians feel to me very much like Humans, I think they put her in command of the two missions, knowing she was not really ready to command a marine unit and hoping for failure.

Ironically, I've been rereading through Sergio's "Adamo" and just passed through the part where Shepard mentions War of the Worlds.
What a coinky dink.
