Part of the reason asari look so humans is that they have human eyes.

Give them a humanoid face but freaky eyes. That's all that is necessary to make them sufficiently alien.

Nah, you can see her eyes underneath the visor. They look pretty human-like to me.
She need's the Alien's jaw, which reveals a smaller jaw as a tongue. That would be awesome.

It would be nice to see her in different armor, or the ability to change it like ME1. Nurse tali anyone?
Fetishes upon fetishes upon fetishes! Why not just get her a leesh... it'd be perfect for her gimp mask.

Oh man, you have NO idea. The Tali threads on this forum are just the tiny tip of the iceberg, man.Mesina2 wrote...

It was a suggestion to the people here who don't want her to look like some cheap, overbeautified space-elf skank.
I don't think Quarian being space elfs is popular idea among Tali fans.
The asari are already filling the human-like niche. You're right, of course, they don't need to look like bugs, but if they have human faces with glowing eyes, smooth purple skin and hair under there, they are essentially space elves no matter how you rationalize it. Space night elves, even.Mesina2 wrote...
Also they can till have humanoid face, be alien and not be space elfs.
My personal suggestion to BioWare is to give quarians scales and organic plates and leave them without hair or at least some kind of thick, hair-like growth like the Predator dreadlocks. This could explain Grunt's comment about them not being soft.

How so? You can barely see them at all. The coloration of her iris and whites could be very different. The shape of the eye seems a little different to me too.

That's one of the reasons I'm pro-gloving eyes for Tali. Different eyes, an unexpected skintone and some alien features on the rest of her head. No space elf, but neitheir so much un-human to don't look attractive.
Also, said between us, I'm really starting getting bored about the "how she looks like?" discussion. It seems that's the only thing we care of the character, when at least for me is the thing I care less

This is what boggles my mind. I might just be damaged from my time and experiences with Garrus and all turians in general, but why are human characteristics always necessary for people to feel attraction? I find the idea that Tali needs to look human to be attractive is ridiculous. In fact, that picture I posted is one I actually find quite attractive and one I would most definitely prefer over a run-of-the-mill human-looking space-elf-esque Tali.Alienmorph wrote...

If I wanted to bang human-looking people, I'd jump into bed with Ashley or Miranda. Or Kaidan.

On that note, I wonder how Quarians rank alongside Krogan and Turians for leg strength? Their calf shape and dem hips seem like it would hurt quite a bit to get a three-toed kick to the face.

Well until we get more information on ME3 there's not much to talk about. Tali's only one person after all.

This is the Tali model from the game and it looks close to human to me.

Nice to see over 50% of this thread is troll-postage. Ah well.Soon enough it'll be proven that the fanbase is much more dedicated than the trollbase, and this thread will settle into 90% honest Tali talk.

Speaking of odd things in a Tali thread, there is a complete lack fo Tali screens/good fanart on this page.

That's the kind of attitude that makes people hate Talimancers. You have to accept that people aren't going to agree with you on everything in regards to Tali and that they will be vocal about it in the thread specifically created to discuss her. You can't silence people who disagree with your opinions - that's not how freedom of speech works.DoNotIngest wrote...

Digitigrade legs are automatically superior for kicking. Of course, quarian legs, while digitigrade, aren't very pronounced or flexible (they're leaning more toward plantigrade legs than true digitigrade legs), which really takes the edge of the potential kicking power. I still think they'd kick marginally harder than most other species.DoNotIngest wrote...

Pet peeve alert: The internet is NOT THE UNITED STATE OF AMERICA! You have no freedom of speech, A mod can walk in here ban you on site and there is NOTHING you can do about it other then sulk in the fact a mod can abuse there powers, Can higher ups in the chain punish the mod yes but if they all agree with one another then well sucks to be you! For the love of god stop using that as an argument it doesn't make sense! ((And if you want to get technical the forum is hosted by bioware which is CANADIAN!))
To go on more you have been far more "Insulting" and "belittling" of people that do not agree with your idea of having a tali who looks like the Xenomorphs from aliens saying all we want is "space elves" when no one here said they wanted Eldar in there Mass effect world. So Sorry if were counting people who belittle most of are opinions as a troll.

I was thinking more alien looking then human, I should ad Asari too now. More alien then them but still have humanoid face.
You're right, of course, they don't need to look like bugs, but if they have human faces with glowing eyes,
Eyes will have to stay and glow.
Also we didn't even saw their face completely.
It can still be humanoid but alien too.
And no pointy ears.
smooth purple skin
Oh God, I hope there's no pink there.
and hair under there,
Why not?
Only humans have hair, we can have at least 2 races with hair.
they are essentially space elves no matter how you rationalize it. Space night elves, even.
No pointy ears, no elf.
My personal suggestion to BioWare is to give quarians scales
From Geth body, I don't see how will that work out.
and organic plates
The what now?

Why not have hair?
This could explain Grunt's comment about them not being soft.
How does not having hair remove that comment.

I'm running low on Tali-related stimulating conversation starters. Lemme think... Armour. Tali's (lovely) neck certainly got some protection in ME2; If you felt like being picky, would you want more armour or less in ME3?
Personally, I think all squadmates should have casual clothing on the Normandy and actual armour on missions. You know, like how it really is
