Yeah but truth be told I think it will probably be easier to genetically engineer humans to survive some kind of freezing or very deep hibernation than it is to manipulate space.

That is true. At least this conversation actually makes sense.
But anyway, I'm going to post a Tali picture to keep lurkers interested.

Behold the uselessness that is the non-Tali panda!
Goddamn it, why do we have to have someone in our group whom we call panda?

I can ramble and pine for Tali and that's about it.
EDIT: About the genetic manipulation...
I remember hearing about a japanese scientist (if I remember correctly) doing some research on genetic thingymobobs ... His motivation?
He kinda dreamt of having a real talking mickey mouse.

All life is useless. To call it otherwise is a massive and incorrect anthropomorphization. Anywho, life serves no purpose whatsoever, everything is as pointless and worthless as a panda. A carnivore that eats nothing but bamboo, and refuses to reproduce in captivity. Humans are equally useless, except that we also exterminate other species at an incredible rate.N7Kopper wrote...

It does make it difficult. Lol. I don't know about all evolution. There are those Samurai crabs that evolved in response to human society, so it doesn't seem entirely halted. I kind of agree about human evolution though.

But evolution in an extant species cannot be stopped under ANY circumstances. It is just that in the human population, there is nearly no selection pressure present anymore. Intelligent, healthy, successful people often have very few children, while families in third world countries often have many children, and drug addicts with way too damn many messed up infants. Also, anyone with more kids than john huntsman is a bad person and should feel bad.

You can't slow down time because time doesn't exist.
Time is merely a concept invented to measure certain processes, like the day and night cycle on earth.
But it's not night or day because of time but because of which side of earth faces the sun.
So you can't change the flow of time because time doesn't exist.
Time only measures processes that do exist.
Theoretically there could be a way to halt the process that makes us age by altering the DNA.
Scientists are currently working on figuring out which gene is responsible for making us age instead of endlessly renewing our cells.
That wouldn't make us immortal however, because there is always the chance of cell corruption (cancer, other diseases, etc..).
Personally I'd feel screwed over if I was 90 years old and they discover the gene for immortality,
me being part of the last generation having to die. Imagine that...

We should have learned when we first beat the trilogy.
I blame Casey Hudson and Mac Walters, and... hesitantly thank EA for putting the executive boot in and forcing this extended cut.
I may thank them in earnest if it turns out to be what it's cracked up to be.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the DLC though. ME deserves better IMHO.

Time exists, and is a direct result of the electromagnetic force. Time is altered by both velocity and acceleration(gravity), and is not simply a human construct to help us order our lives around. It exists as much as matter and energy exist.EmperorZorn wrote...

The slow breakdown of DNA is not what causes aging. There is no aging gene. But genetic engineering could still allow humans to live 200+ years within our lifetimes, but those people would not be us. When we die in ~100 years(if everyone becomes a realist and accepts GenEng), those in their mothers' wombs will have a life expectancy of 150-200 years, but only because cancer is a freaking big problem. By the time of their deaths, people could have 500+ year lifespans, because cancer could easily have been GenEng'd out of us by then. Ah, the possibilites of genetics. Freaking **** religious politicians making pretty much all of it illegal.

Yeah, I kept thinking "Strange, this seems almost like they are in the third part of a trilogy and hadn't figured out how to end it yet".
On a side note, if you google: " "Tali'zorah" cosplay " with safe surf off and the timeline set to "this week"... it's um.... yeah. Strangely though, it seems to be everyone but Tali. Guess she had better taste. Still, what is it with some people?

To me it depends on how my quality of life will be.
Will it be an eternity (or say ... 1000 years) with an average relative age of 30-50 I'm ok ... But personally I don't wanna spend much time at 70 plus. Having worked in elder care and all...
EDIT:
Regarding aging:
You guys should look up the "Naked Mole Rat" or heterocephalus glaber. It's the longest lived rodent at 28 years. Theyre quite interesting in themselves but also due to their high resistance to eg. cancer.
http://en.wikipedia..../Naked_mole_rat
Not exactly pretty but I think they're cute in their own way.
That... and they use tools and "talk".
