2. For me it was her personality. In the first ME she had so much wonder about her. Everything seemed amazing to her. It was like she was experiencing the world for the first time. In ME 2 and 1 it was obviously that Sheperd meant a lot to her. Out of everyone of the old crew she was the only one, beside Garrus who stayed by my side. She may have not joined the crew when I first ran into her, but she was in the middle of a mission and  I can respect that.

Yeah, and she's apologizing, saying she "would love to, but she can't. Maybe after the mission." You can see how she is tempted to just go and leave everything behind for him...but that's not Tali. Tali is loyal and never breaks her word, once given.

Exactly, I respect a women who is Loyal. If she would have just said screw the mission and my people. I'm coming with you Shep, while nice because she would be on my team eariler I wouldn't have respected her much. The ,moment she finished she joined up with me and even though she hated Cerebus she still stayed by my side.

As she said she is not with working with Cerebus, she is working with me :)

I mean, Liara, who Bioware obviously wanted to make Sheperds real LI couldn't even stop some revenge to help Shep. I know she helped bring me back to life in someway, but she was just so cold in ME2.

Tali panda is taking advantage of the kindness of my university! There are free burgers chips and pop in the atrium. >:D
So I've got a good ol' burger made with Canadian beef. :)

Is it nice?

MMM... seems like they appreciate proppa chips in Canada then, but I would have thought bamboo was more your thing?

You know if tali was captured and being tortured by the geth in a coop mission and the reward was a fully naked rescue sex scene. i have a feeling even the lowest level players would improve several hundred percent :/

So, you're okay with putting Tali in a situation that would most likely kill her rather painfully just for the lolz?
Methinks you should rethink your idea.

Guys, I can't seem to find it (too many pages to sift through). Can somebody give me the link to that website that gives you epilogue slides?

Edit: Never mind.  I do have something else to talk about though... but I'll wait until the next page, so I won't have to post a pic.  :D

So it seems the tali thread has come more or less to a consensus that tali's all about the personality!
so, what particular aspect of her personality is it that you like the most, and when did this become apparent to you? feel free to write your feelings in poetry or haiku form 8D

Hmmm...to be honest, its difficult to describe, because the emotions and love I have for Tali develop in me naturally.  And it's kinda difficult to describe something that occurs naturally.  But...I would say her ability to trust, as well as her compassion, knowledge and ability to hold out on her own tend to attract me.  Whenever I feel down, she's there to help pick me up.  Whatever secrets I have, she will be happy to store.  Whatever guidence I need, she always provides a helping hand.  Likewise, I tend to do the same for her.

You touched on an excellent point. She was always there when Sheperd doubted himself and she would lift me back up. I think they also shared that type of bond where they both felt they could let their guards down with one another.

In a way, I think the reason we are love the character of Tali is for most of us, we want to see those traits within someone in our life. Who wouldn't want a wife, husband, girlfriend or just friend with the traits of Tali? We project those traits we admire and see them in her and those, Tali Love :)

Honestly, I think Bioware created an amazing character by accident. I don't think they would have ever guessed that the romance, love and compassion stuff which become such a huge part of the game and to the consumer, but to me, love is the ultimate force and in a war well you feel their is no hope, love can shine through and lift you even in the darkess moments.

Who the hell has sex directly after torture, anyway?

Very true. She is your rock. Never angry, never awkward. She just listens, and lets you take stuff of your chest.

Exactly, a great example of this was at the Memorial Wall on the crew deck and the last moment before Sheperd goes off into the final battle, those two talks with Tali were very powerful. I wish the memorial wall, would have been a actually interactive scene, but oh well. Still, when Sheperd wasn't sure Tali was......and that's all I needed.

1. Her nerdy awkwardness/shyness

2. Her values such as loyalty, kindness, etc.

3. Cuteness

4. Most important?  She has always had feelings for Shepard, since the beginning.  She adores loves and adores him, and in my mind, Shepard feels the same way about Tali.

Tali is my angel. :innocent::wub:

I wouldn't want to put you through an attempt at poetry.

There are many things that I like about her personality but one think that I am an absolute sucker for and would leave me fidgeting with my 6 uhm 10 fingers is her vulnerability AND courage.

Not suit puncture vulnerability... but as she said in me2.

"... I've watched you for so long... And I never imagined you'd ever see past... this *gestures at her mask* "

It's hard to work up the courage to put your heart out there where anything might happen to it.

I was completely sold at that moment.

As much as I wish for someone like Tali to be in my life, realistically, these humans I am surrounded with on this primitive planet are nowhere near likely to be that kind of 'Tali' for me.  I'm just going to live out my life as I see fit and when my times, I will never come back to this horrible place, or even reincarnate.  Being a mortal such as this sucks.

I do agree that I have a feeling bioware created such a great character as Tali by accident.  They underestimated just how much players would bond with her, and sure enough, in the second game, she became a love interest.  I kinda liked how it worked in a sense; you had time to build up with each other before moving on to the advanced stages of a relationship.  It's too bad that they kinda fumbled in the third game with waiting and stuff; I was hoping to trigger some more positive dialog from Tali if you decided to hold off in the second game with making physical contact, but for some reason, it acts as if it actually happened.  I dunno, probably a oversight, but I am glad to know that Tali will not die or suffer serious injuries if you become intimate with her.

I honestly don't know many people like Tali either, my wife is pretty close, but we still have our issues from time to time. I wish she was more creative, like i am and such, but she is proberly the closest to me. I don't have many friends as I live in a small town. Don't know anyone beside all of you who like Tali and Mass Effect.

I actually consider it a blessing I ran across this forum and met all of you. You have all been so nice and accepting. I haven't been here long, but I feel comfortable calling yall friends :)

I agree with you about the building up of the relationship, seemed more realstic to me. I was actually hoping for more build up in ME 2 as well. I never liked the whole, I like you, so let's sleep together, but I recongize it wasn't like that with Tali and Sheperd. Their has been love underneath the surface since ME1. Overall, I'm happy with everything, but I do wish Tali had more lines in ME2.

This was mentioned a while back. I thought I'd post it for those that care.

First, I didn't make it. Second, this isn't a complete companion mod, just an armor model. Third, there's no way to make the character only have 3 fingers or have the different legs/feet that Tali has now.

But it's a start.

Be sure to leave positive feedback if you like it.

Hmmm... apart from being very loyal/devoted to Shepard she is very emotional.

I like how irritated and embarassed she can get in some situations, almost shy and how she suddendly
can become the complete opposite, calling others bosh'tet for bugging Shepard.

She gives the player a lot of insight into her feelings with the way she acts and makes it easy to connect with her and to root for her.

Her voice actor also does a superb job bringing her emotion across without seeing her face.

I have to agree that Ms. Sroka really brought Tali to life in all three games. Without her, Tali wouldn't be the same.

I'm more surprised that no one has tried importing the entire 3D model from Mass Effect yet, lol.

If someone did that, then they would be banned from the nexus (specifically states you cant export in the site rules). Most sites follow that since they dont want to be hit w/ copyright infringement lawsuits.
