Tali: I can't believe that worked.
Shepard: You know I didn't mean you... you've never complained about a tummy ache to me.
Tali: Well... umm...
Shepard: Plus, you're a member of the Normandy ground team, doesn't that automatically make you a bad-ass.  Only other quarian I've met that deserves that title was Kal.

^Kal Reegar was definitely one BA Quarian.

I actually would have wanted to go with HIS plan to take down the colossus on Tali's recruitment mission...except that a few moments ago Tali told me to do what I could to keep him alive. Oh well.

I'm not sure if angry Tali is that cute for me. Watching a vid on youtube of someone revealing the evidence at Tali's trial and hearing her reaction after made me cringe. It was awful to listen to, and I really thank the guy who posted it for making that terrible choice so I didn't have to XD

The way she said "Listen Shepard... I still got your back, just... Don't talk to me unless you need something." was heartbreaking T_T.

I'm... not sure how that applies.

(The following is a lulzy play on the previous post and free association.)

It applies the same way apples do as they share 66.7% of their letters. This means that applications involve fruit and inevitably trees as one can't have one without the other for very long. Unless one wants dead seeds. In any case, the trees are the real problem as we can see them yet we can't see Quarians... At least not directly. Their suits are signs that they are actually there. However, trees are still plants and because there are plants who's main bodies are hidden under the ground with only a small sprout indicatinig they are there, then Quarians must be something like this.

Thus, it should be obvious to everyone now that Quarians are actually potatoes... Or onions or any other tuber plant.

Possible solution to Tali's face dilemma.
This discussion on schrodinger's cat/Quantum Mechanics got me thinking. Given that everyone has a different opinion on how Tali should look, and if Bioware finally reveals her, there will be those who are not happy. However, there may be a way around this...
One of the principles of Quantum Mechanics is that you can only create an outcome if you make an observation, and then it is only based upon probabilities. Considering the number of ideas that people have regarding how Tali looks, what if there is no definite look for Tali on the grounds that it is based upon the observer, i.e. the player at that time! Fitting this to ME3, Bioware could have multiple faces for Tali, and her final appearance is determined (for example, by interpolation) between these (multiple) faces depending upon the players Renegade and Paragon status, or key decisions throughout the game! This could make things very interesting, because depending upon how you play, Tali will look different. People could then submit 'their' version of Tali that they have created, based upon how they have completed the ME games, to this forum. There could even be variants based upon the number of ME games you have played (i.e. if you have played ME1-3, Tali will look different to someone who has only played ME3).

So essentially, the Tali that you create based upon how you have played the game, will be your 'unique' Tali!

Thoughts?

If you think about it's amazing really. Here we have a fictional character besides the voice actor is not real but the character is portrayed so well that many become emotionally attached and do not want to hurt her 'myself included', and when she becomes angry or sad it brings up emotions in the player as if she is right next to you. like i said amazing.

While Tali's ME2 suit is great, I see no reason for Bioware not being able to improve on it. I thought Tali's ME1 outfits were good until I saw her in ME2. Don't you think that after 2 years, they will be able to come up with something better? After all, they are using a better engine now. Consider how the look of Lara Croft has evolved over the years with better technology.

Whilst the potential for making her look worse is there, I would like to think that Bioware has enough talent to be able to continually make things better. So far, everything else we have seen in ME3 has been improved. Why would Tali be the exception?

Of course it's not difficult for BW to change Tali's looks. But I really wouldn't want to see any radical changes or the very least they there should be some explanation for Tali's suit change. After all suits are really personal thing for Quarians, so I don't think that they woud be changing them without any serious reason, like old suit is damaged beyond repair. Also every single suit must requires a quite a lot of resources and Quarians doesn't have a lot of extra resources to spend with, so, it's extremely unlikely that they would make new suits, if there is anyway to recover old ones. So, if Tali's suit haven't been damaged between ME2 or ME3, there should not be any reason to make serious changes.

That being said, I woud be more than fine, if Tali's "new suit" woud only be some material changing and re-colouring. And it would also make sense.

Also, I'm not so sure I trust BW and their character "improving". For example Ash and her new hairstyle + boob job, new FemShep, Vega, and the news about that Jack would be having some hair. Now, while I like most of this new looks, there are people who dislikes them. However the point does seems to be that BW is trying to make these old characters looks better for new players and make them more pleasing for the eye. Of course there are nothing wrong with that, but if you're going to change older characters against the way how they have been, then you have problem. Perfect example of this is Ashley and her new looks. BW had changed her "badass marine" looks to more feminine, which really doesn't fit that well in her character. (Of course it's still too early to day anything for sure, but it doesn't lessen my worries.)

Anway what this my rambling has to do with Tali? It's that I don't want  BW sexing up Tali just make her more appealing for new (teenage male) players.

It would be really fun and interesting, but if people did multiple playthroughs and realised this, then there would have to be a logical explanation for it. I know about the Schrodingers cat theory, but if you have seen Tali's face more than once, then you have already perceived what she would look like. If she changed from that it would no longer apply to the theory, surely?

Good.  It was supposed to be humorous.

And if something similar has appeared in fanfic, I'm not surprised.  Legion's speech pattern is easy to write, and his logical mind lends itself to humour and a dialogue like this just as easily.

Well this could be interesting and every player could get  best looking Tali for them (well after learning how different decision along the game changes Tali's looks).

However I doubt BW even thinks about something like this. Making this happening would mean awful lot of work. And Tali is just one character. Granted she is popular character, but in the end even this popularity won't help here. Especially considering that it's all possible that Tali won't even be in ME3, if she died during SM.

I love Taliart! One thing I would like to see more of in ME3 is more response from your squad when you help or lets say um punch NPC's. for instance during me2 when you helped the quarian out of the slavery contract, or the quarian merchant on Omega if you had tali she had no response and they were her people. little things like that would be cool. But isn't tali the only squaddie to have a reaction when you renagade the reporter? I don't remember.

damn peaple - multiple in game tali face options - that change to match players psychological profile made around his choiced durring game ?? WTF !!

Somebody got carried away - Tali face isnt the main centerpoint of the series !!

There is only one sollution how Tali should look like - she should look just like the developers originaly wanted her to look. it is always designers independent choice how he portrays his creation. It gets bad when developers steys from his own ideas to please fans - becouse they generaly dont know what they realy want.

One thing is clear thought - Tali face should be revealed. Leaving her Masked forever will be like admiting defeat...

I think Angmir makes a good point, they cant be afraid to design their own game. Make her look like whatever they want, people will whine, moan, kick and scream because it doesn't match what they dreamed up, but oh well, too bad. You can always design your own game and make your Tali look like whatever you want. But this is their game and they should be the ones designing the character, hiding behind not just showing her would be cowardly.
