Was in a game last night with a lvl 20 geth engineer and 2 lvl 20 vanguards. after about 2 minutes into the first wave just said screw it and went afk.

Obviously you haven't been playing with any GOOD vanguards.
the good ones only carry a small SMG and buff their powers recharge. so even if they are overwhelmed their charges regenerate so fast that they can keep their shields recharged no matter how much fire is comming at them

It's not always like that right , but it happens so damn often !

Really? A mistake? I also did so because I thought it would be better to have a leader than some crewmembers. He seemed to have a higher value. Is this really the "bad" decision? What happends when he dies? Doesn't this mean you ahve one less voice on your side (peace with geth)

Same here. I always do that for any sort of game like this, then when it gets to near the end, before the no going back phase, i always do a final patrol, to make sure there is nothing i missed.

Guys, today is a sad day. I never liked Microsoft (except during the 90s) and I've now been given another reason. My 360 finally crapped out on me, after getting it in 2007 or 2008. Of course there's no warranty anymore. So, until I spend $100+ to ship it back to Microsoft for repairs, Tali and I will be separated. Error code E 73: Not a red ring, exactly. Just one red light in the lower right corner.

I've seen "temporary fixes" that involve jamming something into the fan and overheating the console, but that just sounds idiotic to me. And getting it repaired is still cheaper than buying a new one.

I don't know about you guys, but when I get really into a game, I don't want to play anything else but that one game until I get tired of it. So, right now I only want to play Mass Effect (series). And I can't. This is going to be a long wait.

Edit: This is what Shep's family would look like, in my mind.  Except, my Shep has a mustache.

If I were to list some of her top 5 best quotes said to Shepard, it would probably be:

I always believed that Mass Effect 3 was best played on a PC.  But...damn!  Origin?  The last 2 games didn't need it...ah, but im getting ahead of myself.

I also had a overheated Xbox once. It melted my graphics chip. Had to by a new one.
But hell, I'd say, play on PC! Thats what games are made for. I only use consoles for JumpnRun or Racing. The times I played these kind of games. Long time ago.

Oh I know.  I played Dragon Age and KotOR on PC.  But I started Mass Effect on the 360 (probably my reason for buying the stupid thing, if I recall-- I'm more of a Sony fan myself), so that's where I like it.

Edit: Also, I hate DRM.  My God, I hate DRM.

Please don't start a console war, obviously people play on a platform for a reason so leave it at that.

Of course, because for some reason they decided they wanted those platforms to run for twice the length of the previous generation. Fingers crossed the Wii U will force them to reconsider, otherwise it could be another 4 years of this.

I'm a PC gamer, so it only indirectly affects me.

Oh yes another reason to like PC gaming, as you can build your own there is no problem with that suspicious "konks out just after warranty expires" thing that have been happening on gaming consoles for the past couple of generations. At least two of my friends have sworn off every buying a Sony product again because of PS3 post warranty deaths.

Sorry to hear about the Xbox Knight. I had the EXACT same problem a few months ago. Luckily I had one free fix for that issue with Microsoft even though my Warranty was invalid. I guess sometype of recall issue.

My thoughts are with your XBox my friend.

Yep. Ever since TIM's "go do Horizon now" and "go do the Collector Ship now, kthxbye" in ME2 I figured the game might force me into other missions, so I would postpone any story mission as long as I could and do all the available optional content first. That's how I got out of ME2 with everyone alive on my first playthrough (since I didn't do the IFF mission until I had done everything else, so all I had was Legion's mission and then straight through the Omega-4 relay), and it likely also saved Tali. Although if I had gotten to that point without having enough reputation to make peace, I would've sided with the quarians. I like Legion and I feel sorry for the geth, but Tali's my LI, she comes first.

Yeah, I screwed up pretty bad in my ME2 game so that I wasn't able to get peace between Geth and Quarians in Three. I also ended up deleting my old ME2 games after I did the Import to 3. So now I am currently starting from scratch in ME2 and playing it the right way so I can get Peace between Geth and Quarian so Tali's people can get a better homeworld and go without the suits quicker.
