Quarian females protect the males and are possessive of them too? its part of their culture? all because of a toe?

thats adorable.

also, im invisible

Almost. I'm saying that females are "greedy" with their chosen mates, the way human males generally are of theirs. They don't want to share their mate with anyone. And I think the toe claw is vestigial, and has not been used quarians since they became civilized ~40K years ago, so it got small and not dangerous. Possesiveness remains in the culture, however.

still adorable

Exactly :)

At the end of ME3, did any of you with Tali as LI expect to go to Rannoch and help build her house?

Yes.

Wanted this to happen.
My subconsious, however - knew that the endings as they stand were horrible.
Had to shut it up, so I could enjoy the game itself.

It happened in my head canon. Which is what I have now accepted as the real game end, unless the extended cut knocks it out of the park. Tali will always get her house. And Shepard received a plethora of splinters in the building, as well!

Weak, but still there. We don't have much of anything to go on with the toe thing. My position is wholly based on circumstansial evidence, and I don't suggest otherwise. But that weak evidence fits, and i'm fine with it.

Believe what you want. But present theorizing as such.
Otherwise, failing grade.

Sincerely,
Professor Solus

Reason I'm asking is because a writer pal of mine (Grub) is writing alternate endings for ME3 as a project, and to help dissatsified fans a little bit. We're both Tali fans (although he romanced Liara) but he wants to know about how you guys feel about Tali. What makes her special, how you were expecting to end up with her at the end of the game, etc.

Mass Effect is a game all about different peoples and perspectives, and Grub knows his endings can't reach their full potential unless he gets some idea of what other people wanted in their Shep Stories.

More involvement from the N7 Special Ops.
A peer-reviewed end sequence. (This is vague, but I know it would have been good if they had done this.)

Would have liked to have seen that. Didn't really expect it.

Same here. So wanted it to happen, but didn't expect it. I guess I just always expect Bioware to not give Tali her proper due :(

I'd heard of how shocking the endings were even before the game was released, (stoopid leakers), so i highly doubted it, and was apprehensive over the whole situation.

btw exile, there was also a brief bit about poetry you missed...

Well for me it was just all about defying the odds. I wanted to destroy the reapers, see what happened to the fleet, make sure all my crew was safe, happy and living well and see Shep take some serious time off and help tali build her house. I just like simple happy endings. Maybe something that says 5 months after destroying the reapers and see how everyone is doing. For me, mass effect is about the characters and the bond you build with them. They are my team and friends and in the end I want my friends to be well and happy. I mean, Sheperd also deserves some darn happiness. Just my quick thoughts

We can never forget the pouncing. <3
"I'd tell you to get off, but you'd probably think I actually meant get off of me. I mean something else. <3"
If that were actually in-game, I'd lol. And cringe.

Gah, thanks for reminding me of handies. Forgot handsies.

Funnily enough, I recently took do doing something somewhat similar with my own hands. Not on purpose.
It's rougher, though. I grab all the fingers - not the thumb, in my right hand with my left, and start moving them up and down rather quickly.

So how could I forget handsies? <_<

See, sometimes I wonder why they don't hire tali fans to write for tali. Revan idea would have been awesome in game. So would have loved it.

For me personally, Tali's relationship felt much more two-sided than the others, in that Shep (all of mine, at least) very clearly loved Tali, and it was obvious that the feeling was 100% mutual. Tali is capable of taking care of herself, but at the same time still relies on the support of those around her, and provides it in return. Furthermore, her character growth across the series was just astounding, and yet realistic at the same time, from the awestruck girl we met on the Citadel in the very first game, all the way through to the mature, multi-faceted character we found in the final installment, and everything in between. Tali feels real to me in a way that no other character from any medium ever has before.
