Depends on how good the ME3 DLC is. If it eradicates the majority of the crap we were given and returns to us a legitimate story, then yeah.

If I'm still here. o__o

@bazzag
this proves nothing.

Well, then.
Pro tip, Tali.
Try being seductive with the other finger. The gesture doesn't quite mean what you're trying to say.

Reason I'm asking is because a writer pal of mine (Grub) is writing alternate endings for ME3 as a project, and to help dissatsified fans a little bit. We're both Tali fans (although he romanced Liara) but he wants to know about how you guys feel about Tali. What makes her special, how you were expecting to end up with her at the end of the game, etc.

Mass Effect is a game all about different peoples and perspectives, and Grub knows his endings can't reach their full potential unless he gets some idea of what other people wanted in their Shep Stories.

For me nothing would keep those two apart for too long.  Shepard just got her world back and Tali wants more time.  Knowing my Shepard he wouldn't want to let her down because not only does he want to see her happy; he wants that time too.  Everytime they come together something seperates them again, and this is the chance to end that cycle and stay by her side.  I'm not sure which of them would do it, but I feel that either Tali and the crew will fix the Normandy and come for Shepard, or vice versa. Once he's back on his feet he'd come for her no matter what it takes to get there.  While Im sure a house on Rannoch is where they'd end up, I'm even more sure that regardless of which planet they settle on they'd be happy as long as it's with eachother.

EA are still a company. They want their money. Even if they did ensure that we get the ending we deserve, they didn't do it out of love. It was practicality.

...gotta admit though, that poster is pretty damn smart. Although anyone unwise enough to jump in here will not only likely not care about the ending, but also will end up having to kill the geth... or that other bad outcome. :)

Wonderful.  If this world needed something, it's more people to adopt the politicians' adeptness at spinning anything ridiculously out of context.

TALI'S FEET.

You know, I was just thinking about them the other day.  I remember somebody asking "Why do non-human races not wear rounded shoes?" or something like that.  Or, "why is each toe seperated"?  I guess the boring answer is "to show players what the other races look like".  However, I also believe the quarians could have a valid in-character reason.  Since they wear those suits 24/7, they've gotta be comfortable.  I hear that wearing shoes all the time would be bad for your back or something, so I figure the quarians make those suits as close to feeling barefoot as possible.   Just my own little pseudo-medical-science theory.

exelsis wrote...

Main evidence of possesiveness is the "you're real... and MINE" quote.

I think people read too much into this quote.  I don't see her as the type to stalk you and listen to all of your phone calls or anything like that.  She was just reassuring Shepard and showing that she loved him.

M0keys wrote...

At the end of ME3, did any of you with Tali as LI expect to go to Rannoch and help build her house?

I guess I hadn't thought that far ahead.  I wanted to at least reach the end of the game with her (which I didn't-- Shep goes solo).  I also wanted to maybe have a lover's embrace?  Show her face as he kissed her?  Show them holding hands on Rannoch?  Ehh, well, thankfully, my Talimancing Shep was my second playthrough, so I didn't go to the star child with him (stopped after final speeches on Earth).  So, only my 100% paragon, Ashley romancing Shep gave in to the enemy (star child), ruined the galaxy, and betrayed everybody.  Oh the irony!

Porcupinetheater wrote...

For me personally, Tali's
relationship felt much more two-sided than the others, in that Shep
(all of mine, at least) very clearly loved Tali, and it was obvious
that the feeling was 100% mutual.

I must unfortunately disagree.  It looked to me like Tali loved Shep, but Shep was kind of indifferent.  I found it frustrating.  Seemed like the most one-sided out of the romances that I've seen in ME3 (Tali, Ashley, Garrus, and Liara).  However, I agree about her character development.

In retrospect, some of that might have been with rose-colored glasses, me interpreting the presentation as I wanted it to be, projecting myself onto Shepard, the like. I just feel that as an rpg (perhaps not anymore in the typical sense, but for the most part still in the character sense), that this is a more acceptable response, as it's intended for the player to take on the persona of the character. And thus, Shepard became my proxy, and his recorded responses took on the role I wanted them to take.
