Link?

They're too easy to find.  Just put in:  Shepard breaks up with Tali. It'll be right there.  All of the options from cheating on her to just plain breaking up with her.

 I felt like barfing. :l

Nothing for me. Maybe because I'm on iPad. Their iPad app  for youtube doesn't have all the vids. Do t see any for breakup except mass effect 2 when you tell her to dangerous. I'll have to check the computer later.

Ughhhh.... seriously, am I the only one who gets the friggin' symbolism between Shepard's and Tali's "I love you/Keelah se'lai" exchange on Rannoch or when they repeat it back to each other on Earth and what they're really saying to each other?

That's how I interpreted it, as well. The way they both pause to briefly gather themselves after saying "you said" as if making a declaration. Also consider that the dialog wheel provides the gist: "I remember. And I meant it." Yet, he responds by repeating Tali's words, not his. It's more than a simple recollection, he's telling Tali that he loves her.

As was mentioned, this isn't the only instance in their relationship with this kind of symbolism.

-SNIPS-

You are not alone!  I thought that was the best romance dialog ever writen by bioware!:crying:

Ahhh, listening to Tali's heart beat in her body.  Such a soothing way to relax in bed.  She has such a healthy heart, both physically and mentally.

                          <3
                     <3    <3
                <3              <3
<3<3<3                       <3              <3<3<3
                                              <3    <3
                                                  <3

And such an interesting, hypnotic rhythm... Better than human rhythms by a long shot... -_-
Always reminding her of what it's like to touch, skin on skin. After the war, after the bad dreams (that don't involve that bosh'tet starchild) - Ash/Kaidan dying, and Thane, and what happened on Horizon, Thessia, potentially Mindoir - plus how Tali barely escaped death twice, once before she even met him, and once after the war. But it's... finally... over.
Smooth. Soft. Warm. Loving.
Comfortable, and not too heavy.

I don't even want to see it.  Sure, in Mass Effect 2, I was a bit curious; one thing I might comment on is that I think if you do a certain amount of missions in ME2, and then talk to Tali while romanced, a lower right hand option to break up with her takes place, and, well...she gets PISSED if you take that option.  Something about the mission coming first, even though ironically, the reason Tali was afraid to start the relationship was because the mission might get in the way.  I guess she can she why she gets pissed though; It's like "Oh don't worry Tali, the mission won't hurt us." then all of a sudden Shepard goes, "Oh well we can't do this anymore the mission gets in the way!"

I might also add I saw the scene where you pick Legion over Tali, and well...I'm surprised she didn't turn the pistol and shoot me right in the head to give me a critical mission failure, that probably would have been better than her wasting a bullet in the normandy's hull and having a (reasonable) temper tantrum with Shepard.  Oh, and inadvertingly breaking up with him in the process, even though I don't think its stated.  I never saw the scenes of trying to regain her loyalty, but after seeing what I saw...I couldn't do that to Tali.

But im not a blind fallower of Tali.  The reasons why I support her is because she's right, not because she's Tali.  That's one thing I like about Tali; whenever she gets into arguments, she usually does so for the right reasons, and she gets pissed at Shepard if he thinks otherwise most of the time.  Her intelligence is unique, and I like that.  But then there are those times that she is wrong, and Shepard's intervention opens her eyes to options she never saw before.  Those are the times when Shepard shines in her eyes and fills that empty part of her mind with a strange knowledge.

I know. I have never been this involved in a character before. This tells me it's unique. I'm a big tv show and movie guy and even they can't touch the connection I feel with the character

I know  exactly what you mean. Her logic is sound most of the time, but she is willing to also except she can be wrong and doesn't know it all. A good example is uploading the geth code. She pleads with you to stop, but if you did and make peace she realizes it was actually the better road to take.

At least broken!Tali doesn't stay in the squad. That would... probably be worse than what happens.
far worse.
Never wanting to talk, not loving anything anymore. Even putting the Reapers secondary to gutting the geth.
And at the end of the day...
Stopping caring about Shepard in those fateful moments.

I think what happens if you fail favouring the geth... is only marginally better than this.

Yeah.  That didn't happen.

Seriously though, the only other LI I went for was Liara in ME 1, and that was before I was aware that a sequel was being made and that Tali could be romanced.  When I did, I made a new game, didn't romance anyone, and then went for Tali in ME 2.  I've never looked back, and I don't even care to look at those...other scenes.  It's just not possible for me to do that to Tali, I would never allow it!

With that, I'm off to bed.  Keelah se'lai.

There are lots of N7s around here. That's just a specialisation and proficiency rank within the Alliance.
My handle is next to it. :wizard:

But, keep that in mind, and watch this. It doesn't matter what the ending said.

Yeah I know about the n7. I just knew you were on right now and so I just called you by that to keep typing down. ;)

Love the video you posted too. Shepherd changed the entire fate of the quarians on that day. I wouldnt be surprised if tali and him were written in their history books one day. My favorite part of the whole game was what you posted in that video. Really great scene and writing. Personally to me we could have ended it there and i would have been happy. Powerful

Well with that said I'm going to try and sleep again. I hate not being able to sleep. Thanks for chat guys and sweet Tali dreams. We know cheesy will ;)

Heh, g'night.
(I've stayed up all night, I was asleep until about 8 PM last night)
Yeah, that and curing the genophage. You feel like a hero. Vigil is playing - it once meant naíve exploration and a lonely watch. Then it meant old friends, new times. Then... hope. Just pure hope. You've solved the problems of more than one species, and the Reapers are going to be ripped a new one. And if you don't cry, you either have glandular problems or you're playing the game wrong.

The fact that it only plays if you take the heroic option - and "Betrayal" and "I'm sorry" are there for if you don't...

(genuinely happy krogan are the second most adorable thing in the series ffs, not being the hero is basically like burning loving kittens)

I am quite certain there are a few mentions of Shepard in their history books.

I have a feeling that this couple will get any land they want on Rannoch free including a house built and a ship.  I mean I have a feeling getting a home world back for a species comes with benefits(Naturally of course Tali is the best benefit) even if you do not ask because you thought doing it was the right thing.

Yeah helping the Morgan and other events in me3 really put you into the shoes of making big changes and feeling those emotions way better than the other ones. It was also sad to see friends die in me3. Felt like I lost a real life friend. My wife doesn't get it but you guys and gals do. Powerful stuff indeed. Yeah I'm sure I'm going to pay for not being asleep now. Oh well, at least it was for a good cause. When modding died that killed me too

Aha. Finally converted my fanfiction for use on the fanfiction.net page. If you haven't read it yet, feel free to the link provided in my signature to look it. Such a pain in the ass though to convert, and to make stuff for it. Oh well. While the site does offer nice tools, the service is no doubt subpar.

As for vigil...I never really cried when hearing the music. Sometimes I debate if its overused, but at least it's used in the right moments. I think sitting with Tali overlooking a cliff on Rannoch was probably one of the better uses of it, the best use being the main menu theme for the original Mass Effect. It would be the music that set us off on a epic journey across the galaxy...

I wouldn't be surprised if Shepard ends up being worshipped in some way.
Of course, not as long as Liara is still alive and EDI isn't non-functional. They'll make sure people know he didn't want that.
But of course, they'll need a new ship. The Normandy belongs to Joker now. No way around it, considering the Normandy is basically EDI's body - disregarding that remote controlled infiltration unit.

...Free? Nah, Shepard will pay voluntarily with that 9,999,999 credit fund he just recently got out of Council banking red tape.
