Yes she takes it like a champ. Even giving a grats and handshake before the geth dreadnought mission to whichever LI you picked. Ashleys reaction to that is quite funny really.  If you breakup with her she says she regrets nothing so yeah even then it still seems she loves Shepard. ;p

That is a very good point. We are really largely debating a humanized Tali's point of view.

What we know about Quarians is their sense of duty and sacrifice for the good of the many. That and the effect on intimacy living inside a suit has.

But that is all the Fleet based Quarians. I'm sure they wouldn't have totally changed their ideals on love since leaving their homeworld and we know nothing about that.

The evolutionary purpos of love cant be that diffrent...

What is the evolutionary purpose of love? I would say it's simply stability and protection, as an extension of the need to reproduce and ensure survival. A lot of human concepts of love have little if anything to do with the neccesities of evolution. How many love stories ends with death? Not exactly a result Darwin would be proud of.

I know the answer: Does Tali have unconditional love? Well, we have (sort of) assertained that tali's ******* on Rannoch was down to despair over the loss of her people, and being unable to live without them. We have also come to the conclusion that chances are if shep was a git and slept around, Tali would not be impressed, and could very well split from him. I think in this instance however, the love would cease to be unconditional. It would be a love for the good times they had, for the memories they shared, and Tali would move on. So yes, Tali would still love shep, but in a different way.
