I like both of them as well! I hate rugby though...

I like to play baseball, but I have a real hard time watching it on TV. To slow for me. Never played Badminton before? You know, I can see the Quarians playing a game similar to the ancient Mayans played. I can't remember the name, but for some reason I can just see the Quarians playing it. Maybe something similar to the sport they played in Battlestar Galactic.

The controversy over Tali’s photo has led to some heated arguments (I personally thought the reveal of her face could have been done much better), but while thinking about the photo and where it came from I wrote this little scene to help explain the picture in a bit more detail... Enjoy.

TALI:    
Always. Just repairing the heat sinks in the propulsion system - I rerouted the heat flow and overloaded the diffusers. It works on quarian ships. Well, long story, but I think I can steal a moment with you.
 
SHEPARD: 
I wanted to thank you for your photo. It’s beautiful. I’m surprised you found time to pose for it.
 
TALI:    
I didn’t.  Those pictures are extremely popular among the flotilla, but because of the sterile environment we rarely get a chance to sit for portraits.
 
SHEPARD: 
Oh, I just assumed…
 
TALI:    
Most quarians are reluctant to remove their helmets even in clean rooms, and it’s especially hard if someone else is present. A digital artist put that together for me using my suits biometric data and current sensor logs.
 
SHEPARD: 
Really? He does good work.
 
TALI:    
It’s not bad. I’m not crazy about the lens-flare, and I don’t think he got my hand quite right.
 
SHEPARD: 
Maybe he was rushed. You did say the portraits were popular.
 
TALI:    
True. It was a last minute decision. I wanted something special for you.
 
SHEPARD: 
I did get special, I got you.
 
TALI:    
(Laughs) And just like that the magic is gone.
 
SHEPARD: 
I need more practice sweet-talking, don’t I?
 
TALI:    
We can work on it. That, and your dancing…

Well said Unschuld. When I play as Shepherd I don't make the decisions I think Shepherd would make I choose the ones I would make which are usually pretty similar. If you ever find that link to the quiz you mentioned let me know. I wouldn't mind seeing where I score.

I agree that Tali tends to embody what I look for in friends as well as someone to be in a relationship with, my wife holds many of the traits tali has. I don't know who I would end up with in the Mass Effect universe. As you said, whoever shares my values.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, my current girlfriend of many years shares a lot of the same traits as Tali (which is probably why I chose Tali in all of my playthroughs, not the other way around ). The other day I even noticed her doing "the hang-wringing thing" and started laughing. She didn't understand why, so I just responded that she needs to play the damn game! She's very stubborn about which games she chooses to play, but she loves sci fi which is why it boggles my mind that she didn't get instantly sucked in. She started playing ME1 the other week, but she'll only do so while I'm on the couch next to her providing commentary on her decisions, and as a person to throw the controller at when she gets overwhelmed by combat situations.

I took that quiz and oddly got a high percentage of Tali...With Ash/Liara tied in second place. : /

Started with them and ends with them in my book. Lol, honestly I don't think I ever played as anyone else except Tali, Garrus and whoever I must play as since the mission requires it. Once or twice with Liara, but Garrus and Tali are my friends, my squad and can't go into battle without them.

Funny thing, I notice I die a lot more on insanity until I get these two on my team, then I seem to handle business with them
