I don't think Tali's father would hate Shepard. They are both dutiful people and both would do anything for Tali. Tali's dad may not exactly love Shepard (probably have heated arguments now and then) but I think he would respect the hell out of him and you know... sometimes that's better.

I have been trying so hard to pick up a pencil for the past several days just to illustrate a scene where my views on this matter are expressed. Drawing is scary though... I used to be good at it.... This is so pathetic.

Somewhat related:
I drew/painted this in '07 as the armor art on my aircraft, using the grayscale spraycans we had in our supply locker along with sharpee/paintmarker/pencil for the details. Yeah, it's creepy. That was the point.



Opinions? Should I take up my pencils again?

I don't think she can, but it's easy enough to learn - like riding a bike.

Thing is learning to ride a bike usually doesnt come with the possibility of drowning if you mess up.

Is Tali very proper? When she adopts kids, will she try to teach them da etiquettes, or will she let them run free? And, for that matter, what would her parenting be like? Would she have to go through a whole psychological change?

Lol, but the point of the quiz isn't to try to get a certain character, it's to pick the qualities that most align with your own. Don't feel bad about your results.

I don't know if she even necessarily wants kids. I don't remember her touching on that, but based on how much she detests being admiral, she doesn't seem to like being responsible for people. Leading me to think she wouldn't want to be a parent.

A) A little but nothing serious. Initial reaction may be scornful, but would come around. The fact that she couldn't have kids with him may bother him if he wants his genetic line to continue. But if it's just about making his mark (or families mark) on history then the fact that Tali is going to be a Quarian hero and legend for centuaries to come should be enough.
Yes but balanced out by the aid that Shepard gives to the Quarians.
C) He's her father. So of course he'll give him a hard time for that. But his little girl is all grown up so he'd get over it. The only downside really of his daughter dating the hero of the galaxy is the human thing.

Back for a minute before reading a fanfic I promised to read.

Hmmmm...topics to discuss. Well I don't know if this has been covered before as I've only been here for two weeks or so. So most of everything is new to me, but here is a stab at a discussion.

If Shepherd were to purpose to Tali and ask for her hand in marriage how would he do it? Would it be a simple moment between them, would he do it On rannoch, would it be in front of everyone at a dinner party? Thoughts?

Yeah, creepy dude was supposed to be a warlock summoning a succubus. I don't know why I added the rays coming from the eye, just that it looked like it needed some extra detail before. Never thought about the KISS connection, but I suppose you're right there. Now I can't unsee it.

I think Tali would be more proper parent figure, personally. Yes, dem etiquettes. add Shepard's "military dad" aspect to the mix and oooh boy...

My shep would probably make a ring out of one of the dogtags he got back from before he died the first time. Put a chain on it and give it to her w/ an inscription of some kind in Khelish (sp?) inside it. Most likely in private (my headcannon has him give it to her when they talk the final time when she wants more time).
