I'm back after a long night lol. I agree, ME1, 3 and then 2. 1 wasn't really hard for me, just really long.

I think there's a misconception here with the inequality signs...

I dunno why people think ME1 was hard.
That was the easiest of the series IMO...

Highest difficulty setting + krogan = house of horrors. Imunnity was not sarcastically named. Those bastards run you over, pull immunity, and rip your squad apart with volleys of carnage. They regen their HP to full as fast as ME2 vorcha, and they do it with a hundred times the health. ME2 and 3 krogan die in just a few shots, move slow as mollases, don't knock your whole squad down with rushes and carnage, and don't have immunity/ridiculous regen. And then you have armitures, collosi, stalkers, those freaking tiny green rachni, the damn ten trillion health thorian creepers, and biotic enemies throwing you around like a rag doll all damn day. I miss that.

Agreed.  I'm playing through ME 1 again right now to save Ashley instead of Kaidan (want to hear the extra dialogue in Engineering Image IPB), and kill off Rana Thanopsis, the one Asari "secretary" on Saren's base (you get an "email' about how she goes nuts and kills off high ranking Asari officials and then herself, so I'll kill her first and save us the trouble).

Can't change my Adept class (one of the positive things in the later installments for imports), but the biotic Lift, Throw, and Singularity have always been fun to use with the rag-doll physics.  Krogan are indeed a force to be reckoned with, but are admittedly easier to kill when they're in Stasis or floating around in the air.

How is the Adept class? I never played it. Only play Solider and Sential.

You honestly found ME2 to be the hardest? That was by far the easiest. Even on insanity there were only 3 parts I can recal that were difficult: Horizon, The collector ship and the fiinal boss.

1>2>3. 3 is so painfully easy, even though they hyped up how it was going to be so much "harder" The enemies are no smarter than they were in ME2, most of them are weaker, many of them lost shields/armor so they are FAR more vulnerable to powers, and you usually have bettwe cover options and face fewer enemies.

The only part I found diffcult in 3 was near the end on earth when you have to launch the missle at the reaper. I barely got out of their with only one clip of ammo. The banshees were something serious.

ME2 was a nightmare.
A) You had no freaking idea what any of the stats on your guns were so you kind of went in blind.
B) Harbingers + scions = irritating combination on insanity.
C) If you weren't always in cover, you would die.

ME2 was surprisingly easy when I played it again recently. I think I may be getting slightly better at it, and the ME3 MP has certainly improved my skills a bit.

ME2 had the most "unfair" deaths for me, when some enemy outflanks you and there's no way to get away and you die before you even figure out who's shooting at you.

I just find ME1 to have awkward/clunky combat.

I think the one thing that added to the difficulty was the lack of auto-saves.  If you die at a certain point, you might have to go back 20-30 minutes in gameplay time or more.

But the one thing that I thought was kinda awkward in Mass Effect 1 was the sprint.  First off, it couldn't be used in combat, which was somewhat annoying, and I thought it was broken at first when I tried using it, because all it would do is change the camera angle.  But when it worked, holy jesus...you sprint like 88 miles per hour when you do, and you run out of stamina fast.  Maybe too fast, considering you were a spectre, after all.  I wish the squadmates could keep up with you if you stormed though, I don't think they do.  But it was cool that you could also knock down enemies with it.

But to make things more Tali-related, I think Shepard's going to have a tough time keeping up with Tali in a race.  In Mass Effect 1, there was no doubt he could beat Tali in terms of speed.  In 2 and 3 though...I think he's starting to slow down a bit.  If Tali and Shepard were to race each other on say, a short stretch of beach, would Shepard or Tali win?

I always max out everything I can in sheilds and add Geth Shields to the mix. Combine that with the Tech Shield from The Sential class...all day :)

Maybe depending on ur class. I wa an adept and so I had a cheap way dealing with those problems.

But that's the thing. Ammo. I did not die a single time the whole final mission on insanity. I was, however, starved of ammo most of the time. Meleeing brutes to death is awful. The only time I had real difficulty was in summoning Kalros, when you get jumped by brutes. I ran too fast, and aggro'd all 6 instead of 3. With garrus and liara in your squad, it isn't fun fighting 6 brutes at once in a tiny area.

Edit: Tali is the fastest squadmember in any of the games. Dem almost digitigrade legs! She has a ton of muscle in those things.

SO WHY THE **** DID THEY GO WITH THAT? SELL DLC? SELL MORE ME GAMES? **** EA.

Think about it this way:
You make an essay for your teacher and you hand it in and you get a 30%
While the bulk of your essay was fantastic, the conclusion lacked as an end to your paper.
You are apalled by this grade and demand that it be remarked.
Saying "well the rest of the essay was good, why are you basing my entire grade on the freaking conclusion?"
You -> Teacher   as   BioWare -> butt hurt fans

Point is, they're trying to fix the ending and there's no point whining and complaining because if you were in the same situation, you'd try to defend yourself too.

I haven't done it on insanity yet. After I replay ME2 I'll be playing ME3 on insanity. Yeah, I have yet to fight any brutes when summing Kalros. I just run like hell :)

Adept is pretty challenging in the beginning, especially on an Insanity run-through (you only have training in pistols, which are fairly useless until you get the Spectre-grade weapons).  You also don't have very strong defenses, and have to rely on Barrier a lot to stay alive.  As long as you're okay with being a mostly crowd-control character it's fine, but there are situations in which the game has "out of bounds" kill boxes for the enemies that can be taken advantage of (Lift an enemy into the air, hit them with Throw, laugh as they soar a hundred feet into the air and hit the kill box).

Overall, it's fun to mess around with (I played as an Adept to get the Warp and other Biotic achievements originally, but found the physics to be fun), but ultimately I liked killing things with an Assault Rifle or Sniper that I could actually aim.

This is different. This is something we PAY for. Something that was promised (aka advertized) completely different. We have a right to be mad. And the ending pretty much nulifies the entiree trilogy. Bioware can try and defend themselves but theres not much they can say. And Im betting the 'fix' will accomplish nothing anyway. Ill give them a chance but Im not expecting anything.

Okay, cool. Thanks for the breakdown. Sounds like it may make the game a little more interesting. I like to run and gun so always go the shield route. Sentienl with Tech Shield, plus Geth Shields works well, plus you get overload, throw and Wrap. May have to give ME3 a run as Adept and see.

Invalid comparison. Your teacher does not advertise that everyone will have an amazing experience, take 60$ from you, and then run off with it. Bioware did. They promised choices, we recieved none. They promised resolution, and there was none to be found. They promised that it was the CONCLUSION, and the whole damn ending screamed FUTURE DLC AND/OR SEQUEL! Bioware took our money and skull raped us. My teachers never did that to me.

We did get 16 different endings, just they are quite similar.
I understand being mad, but raging about it all the time becomes redundant and quite irritating.
And it doesn't make the entire series pointless. It all depends on your interpretation of what the ending actually meant.

You can take a bonus talent if you got the achievements. For my recent LP, I used engineer (my favourite class, especially in ME2 and 3; combat drone and incinerate rule!) with an assault rifle bonus talent.

We do pay for it, but in reality it was only 10 minutes or so that was awful. The rest was a brilliant game. I agree that it kills the game for me, but if you don't think about the ending the rest is a really good game. Still the extended cut better make some sense of this or I will rage hard.

Just making the ending indoctrination helps for me, this way it never happened and it was just the reapers screwing with him/us. I can fanfic the rest until the extended cut.
