We do pay for it, but in reality it was only 10 minutes or so that was awful. The rest was a brilliant game. I agree that it kills the game for me, but if you don't think about the ending the rest is a really good game. Still the extended cut better make some sense of this or I will rage hard.Olueq wrote...
This is different. This is something we PAY for. Something that was promised (aka advertized) completely different. We have a right to be mad. And the ending pretty much nulifies the entiree trilogy. Bioware can try and defend themselves but theres not much they can say. And Im betting the 'fix' will accomplish nothing anyway. Ill give them a chance but Im not expecting anything.gamer_girl wrote...
Think about it this way:
You make an essay for your teacher and you hand it in and you get a 30%
While the bulk of your essay was fantastic, the conclusion lacked as an end to your paper.
You are apalled by this grade and demand that it be remarked.
Saying "well the rest of the essay was good, why are you basing my entire grade on the freaking conclusion?"
You -> Teacher as BioWare -> butt hurt fans
Point is, they're trying to fix the ending and there's no point whining and complaining because if you were in the same situation, you'd try to defend yourself too.
Just making the ending indoctrination helps for me, this way it never happened and it was just the reapers screwing with him/us. I can fanfic the rest until the extended cut.

Okay, cool. Thanks for the breakdown. Sounds like it may make the game a little more interesting. I like to run and gun so always go the shield route. Sentienl with Tech Shield, plus Geth Shields works well, plus you get overload, throw and Wrap. May have to give ME3 a run as Adept and see.
Thought you were talking about ME 1 for a while, so I'll revise it. The Adept in ME 2 and ME 3 is now considerably stronger in terms of weapon damage output (can now use smgs in ME 2 and any weapon in ME 3), and can now hold their own against most types of enemies (particularly in ME 3, with the incredibly destructive biotic combo explosions). Again, however, I still enjoyed the feel as a Soldier with some tech thrown in (like Energy Drain) or Sentinal as you described, but that's just my opinion. A fun class to experiment with, if anything.

I can't really do that because in mine the relays shattered into pieces. Considering how much indoctrination is in the series I can live with it.gamer_girl wrote...

Personally, while i enjoy the indoc theory, i don't think that is what bioware planned at all. A compromise between literal and the theory is kind of what I want. I see the final catalyst confrontation as a test for shep. Choosing the easy way out (Control - grabbing power for yourself), The hard way (Destroy - willing to sacrafice both yourself and all synthetic life like EDI), and the halfway / neutral (Synthesis). The final test is a way of seeing if organics are truly ready to break free of the cycle and not have to be destroyed. Just my .02c

We did get 16 different endings, just they are quite similar.
I understand being mad, but raging about it all the time becomes redundant and quite irritating.
And it doesn't make the entire series pointless. It all depends on your interpretation of what the ending actually meant.
Theres countless lies they have made.
Hitler said he was attempting to make the world a better place. Was he lying? No, because he sincerely believed his cause was the right one.
BioWare believed their ending had clarity as it was, so therefore they did not lie, they were just mistaken.
They are "adding clarity" with the extended cut.
They are saying they're giving you exactly what you're complaining about there being a lack of.
Save the anger for if the DLC "isn't clear enough" in your eyes because quite frankly your constant negativity is annoying.

Edit: Tali is the fastest squadmember in any of the games. Dem almost digitigrade legs! She has a ton of muscle in those things.
I suppose she is pretty damn fast. I still think Shepard will give Tali a run for her money...but I suppose if Shepard wins, he can massage Tali's legs the next time they have some privacy together. But if he loses...Tali has her way then.

In the blue ending the relays are disabled, not destroyed.

You are being INCREDIBLY lenient and naive here. TECHNICALLY maybe they didnt lie on EVERYTHING they said. But it was clearly advertized in a way that made us believe the complete opposite of what we got. You are missing the point.gamer_girl wrote...

better question: do the relays blow up in the blue ending?
Judging by this (as it isn't shown that they explode), no, but they still crap out like the others.

That is false advertising. That is an outright lie. The worst part is that even NOW they stick to that dead promise like insipid parasites. They won't admit fault, and they will pay for it with their jobs.

Nobody made you believe anything. They gave the fans something that they thought was what they advertised. And they did give us 16 different endings, and clarity depending on which player we are talking about.
