Hi am new to the thread and I would like to first say I am glad to see a large Tali support going on here. As mentioned before, it would be cool to see Tali in Shepard's trial especially if she reacts the same way he did in her trial.

Hello TLock_Supreme! Welcome to the Tali thread. Yeah, it would be interesting if Tali reciprocates if she was there. But from what we have seen of ME3 so far, it looks like she is busy doing other things (or at least, that is my interpretation). However, the game is still in development, so anything can happen...

Regarding Tali's trial, has anyone not done her loyalty mission to see what happens? I've only played through ME2 a couple of times and always done Tali's mission, so I was wondering what happens if you don't. Or does she always die sometime during the Omega mission because she isn't loyal, so therefore it isn't possible to have not completed her mission when you finish ME2?

Nope. If not picked on some job and left to hold the line with tanks (Grunt, Garrus, Zaeed), not loyal Tali easily survives. Why that nonsense is called the Suicide Mission is another question.

About "what will happen" - well, as I recall Qwib Qwib says it'd be simplier to destroy Alarei than retake it, so either quarians will listen to him - so no one knows Tali isn't guilty and they didn't see the evidence, and it will be "exiled Tali" scenario; or Han'Gerrel or Daro'Xen actually find that evidence and continued study, which directly leads to conflict with geth, - and, again, likely to exiled Tali.

Well, not showing up for your own trial on the accusation of treason is probably a good way to become exiled.

Hmm spectre status is given by the council right not by the alliance. So the galaxy is attacked by a strong unknown entity and you can't see how people who have known experience in dealing with these entities make flash promotions.

Well if you can't figure that one out...

Well do we know for sure that Tali wasn't there on the Normandy, when Shep was in that trial? I mean it's all possible that Shep's trial was private ones and strictly human matter, so they wouldn't allow any aliens in there (except maybe council)..

More realisticly the quarians didn't want a Qarian (Tali) to be involved in a process off a mass murderer and invited/forced her back to the flotilla. Where she stays with Shala raan (in case she's dead) then Shala does the conversation for Tali.

It would be nice to have tali at your trial pointn' that finger calling everyone bosh'tets but we know that won't happen, would be funny though. I doubt anyone besides military and alliance will be allowed at the trial, well till the reapers show up and blow everything to hell. As for the whole Admiral tali question I can see after the events of ME3 that she could be considered for the position.

Pretty good pic S.A.K.

*saved*

As for ME3, ideally, I want Tali to be on the Normandy to START with. That and/or she's by your side at your trial, actively defending you as you did for her.

I don't want to have to wait to go pick her up from somewhere again.

But I trust Bioware will do something amazing with our favourite Quarian in ME3. I just wish it wasn't so far away.

Also some news about Tali at GamesCon would be most welcome.

I think bioware has said that team members will be out preparing there people for the invasion. I think we will have to gather people up again.

I guess that means:

Garrus is convincing his fellow Turians
Samara is calling out the Asari (or maybe Liara can do this too)
Mordin is meeting with the Salarians
Tali is talking to the Migrant Fleet
Grunt is convincing the Krogans...I think Clan Urdnot doesn't need much persuading if you saved Wrex back in ME1
Legion is gathering the Geth

etc etc etc....Shepard is handling the humans!

*Big sigh*

I'm not sold on Vega yet. But it seems like he and the VS will be the potential
'starting squad' with ME3.

True, and Shepard was alone with Anderson in the demo. So the squadmates are not on Earth.

Gotta love tali.
She wouldn't become an admiral unless the reapers are dealt wiith, and shepard moves in with her on the migrant fleet (lol.... if you romanced her of course)
Or if we take back rannoch (which would be doubtful if you spend most of the game saving earth from the reapers...)

Then again, we don't know if they were on the Normandy like the VS was. When the Normandy comes in to pick up Shepard and Anderson at the end of the demo you only see the VS in a cut scene. It is possible that other squad members could be there, just not shown at that moment.

Anyways, i have a theory for Mass Effect 3. I think that since Tali can be exiled is one of the reasons why she is going to be one of the more "permanite" squad members. Since under that option she really has no where else to go and can't return to her people. Due to this I see Tali being around if she wasn't exiled either, to avoid having a massive change as to what a squad member is doing or not.

Actually, we will visit Rannoch in ME3.

The possibility is there.

Visiting and retaking are 2 different things, that should be a DLC all by itself.

Ashley didn't show any incompetance at Eden Prime.

She wasn't in command of the battalion. Blaming her for the battalion's destruction would be a bit like blaming some poor Sergeant in the 7th cavalry for what happened at the Battle of Little Bighorn. If there is any blame at all to go around it would lie at the feet of people far above her in the chain of command, like the battalion commander. And even then, that is assuming that the battalion commander was to blame at all. For all we know the battalion's fate could have been sealed the moment the Geth attacked. We don't know enough about the battle to say whether the battalion could have been saved or if it was caught in a hopeless situation where it's destruction was inevitable.

As for biotics and tech skills...neither is a prerequisite to become a Spectre. Saren does not display any biotic or extraordinary tech abilities prior to being 'upgraded' by Sovereign. Shepard of course, can also become a Spectre without having any biotic or tech abilities as well.

Does Ashley deserve to be made a Spectre?

Hard to say. What has she been up to between ME2 and ME3? For all we know, it could have been something epic.

Like blaming shepard for being with cerberus, he was better off dead eh?
I think that was just retarded.

Damn... that girl is a fine huntress.

I'm the only who sees quarians with sharp teeth? I mean, not shark teeth but with the canines or fangs (whatever you like) being more pointy than those of humans...

Maybe is a fetish, but woman with sharp teeth, turns me on incredibly
