The Asari are already ME's blue aliens ;)

As for the shape of the face: I hope they at least include a similar nose to the one you can see through her visor in the previous games.

Yeah, I agree. No for blue color, but the cuteness it there that Tali needs :)

Tip nr. 223: If you want non-Talimancers to respect you, do not compare Tali or quarians in general favorably with na'vi. Blue giant space smurf cat people are widely hated on the internet, and association with them will lead to an increase in hate and trolling against Tali and quarians in general.

They are not generally liked here, either.

^ I would hate it if she looked like that the skin color is nice but it's already used with the Asari so I'd rather Tali have a unique skin tone then what we've already seen.

This.

Also, a discussion that is about Saren and whether or not he has biotic abilities. *Tries desperately to veer this topic onto Tali*

I wonder if quarians have biotic abilities, and if so, then how would they be amplified? Tali isn't biotic, and we haven't been shown any in the ME universe whatsoever.

^ Do they explain in the books ( I assume you read them)  what he looks like and by that I mean was he always so dead pale looking with the tubes and cybernetics or do they say anything about him dying while obtaining or dying in close proximity to sovereign and then sovereign brought him back to life?

In the book Saren's pre indoctrination apperence is describes him as still being very pale and his plate structure very skelital looking. This means that part of his apperence is natural. At the time he had no cybernetics (no tubes or machine parts).

The book follows the events mentioned by Anderson in ME1, including the event where Saren sabotages the mission to stop Anderson from becoming a Specter. The book ends with Saren taking information about a "ancheint star ship" *cought*Sovereign*cough* that was discovered by a human scientist and sets out to find it to use its power to essensially screw over humanity (Saren is very Racist).

It is assumed he was indoctrinated over the next...15 years i believe between the book and Mass Effect 1.

So he already was born pale? That's odd for a Turian given Garrus says about Virmire being like Palvin and then I've never seen another Turian like Saren....so he dies while on the hunt and gets the stitches, tubes, ect and Nihlus isn't concerned about the new look? Any reason why he was so unconcerned? I mean if an acquaintance I saw 15 years ago turns up looking like frankenstein I'd at least say what the hell happened? Thanks for the info though.

I like naavis.
It just seems dumb that someone would like quarians to look like em, i know i really wouldn't liker it.

I imagine em as looking a bit like the kaminoans, just a ressemblance.

I bet they exist but are rare, the use of bubbles and environmental suits would make element zero exposure to a pregnant quarian or quarian child a very rare occurrence. Since quarians already use a lot of cybernetics, implants similar to those used by humans would probably work.

@Tasha Tali says that quarian biotics do exist in one of the elevator rides in me1, but they are very rare.

Damn, I must have never gotten that convo before. Thanks Runescape. I think Tali with a biotic-like glow would look completely badass.

Edit: Quarians looking like Na'vi would show a lack of imagination on Bioware's part. Copying an original race from something else is like signing your own death warrant.

Not gonna happen.

As for the skin color thing, I assume it is a rare trait found among Turians. That would explain why he looks as he does, but no one really comments on it. Secondly, what we see ingame is not a good indicator of what all Turians look like. All of them seen in game, except Saren, use the same basic facial structure. if there were no ingame contraints retricting it, I suspect the coloring and the plate structure of Turians differs from person to person.

Also, the front cover of the book shows Saren without all the cybernetic parts

http://images.wikia....ERevelation.jpg

I highly doubt Saren died and was reserected by Sovriegn. It is more likely that all of those cybernetic parts were upgrades he recieved willingly after being indoctrinated.

As for why Nihlus isn't concerned; no idea. It is never explained

@tasha: I wouldn't call the na'vi an "original species" in any way, shape or form. They are basically indians IN SPACE and nothing more, bio-USB notwithstanding.

I don't think we're talking about a blatant copying of the face of the Na'vi, I think were talking more about basing the finished design off of the face.

Sure, but without the ears and hair...
Incidentally, are there any other Avatar fans here? I keep hearing about them but it feels like I'm the only one.
