They used to practice ancestor worship, according to the codex (and that's also pretty obvious from some dialogue in the game, particularly during Tali's loyalty mission in ME2).ichi9181 wrote...
do they even have a religion to speak of

Then they put there ancestors into vi interfaces, or summat like that.
When they worshipped the ancestors tho, i can see them leaving offerings at the tombs of the dead.

Maybe they'll start doing it again. They still refer to it on the Migrant Fleet.bazzag wrote...

I wonder if they'll ever treat Shepard with the same regard? (Of course, because if he doesn't save th - no.)

I doubt that. The original goal was to make the ancestor VIs fully sentient, true AIs that would offer a form of immortality. Then the geth happened, and the geth ended up deleting the existing ancestor VIs for some reason. I doubt they'll be keen to try that again.N7Kopper wrote...

It's kind of interesting, I'm currently re-reading Hamilton's Night's Dawn Trilogy. In that trilogy, the Edenist culture (a subset of humanity) have eliminated all religion because they download their memories into the organic habitats that they live in upon death, so they consider themselves immortal. Of course, they later find out that souls are real, and those still end up in the "beyond", and that the personalities stored in the habitat are little more than simulacrums (dealing with that discovery and its consequences makes up the bulk of the 4,000 page trilogy; if you haven't read it, I highly recommend it, it's extremely good, easily in my top 5 best sci-fi I've ever read).

Yeah, sounds good, albeit a bit complicated for my brain to fathom. Right now i'm reading blindsighted by Karin Slaughter, but i dunno what i'll read after that...maybe war and peace

On a side note, given that the Quarian version of events didn't quite match the Geth versions, it would be interesting if the Geth did not infact wipe the Ancestor VIs and instead incorporated them into the collective.

Pff. I didn't see the VI bit. I was thinking more of the "offerings at the tombs" thing.bazzag wrote...

If tali was a flower, what would she be?
Blue Rose of Rannoch?
I don't think rannochs environment is suitable for roses...maybe soft cactus instead
I am pretty sure roses can grow on Rannoch with some work.
I mean a bunch of rich idiots can put a golf course in Las Vegas, Which without technological intervention is a bone dry desert that can soar well over 40c in the summer.
