Tali related:

How many words does Tali need to shut up a certain someone ?

Four: "Shotgun", "I", "a" and "have" (not necessarily in that order) Image IPB

There is second answer !Image IPB

Three !
"I love you."

Always effective to shut up a wildly talking Commander by melting him with that words !

I smiled IRL when she said that to me before the Reaper fight on Rannoch.

I want more time!

So I've been thinking about Talis loyalty towards her people. I know that in me3, she chose shepard over her people, but I wonder how much she would sacrifice for a quarian she barely knows.
i mean, in a position of authority, sure shed give her life, but what if a fellow quar points a gun at her? would she hesitate because its a quarian or take them down as easily as a batarian?

I think it depends on the situation behind why they are poiting a gun. Is this quarian just a you know what and trying to kill her, is it a quarian with a mental health issue. Does this quarian love tali and wants her to be with him. To me it all depends on the context.

But she would kill him or injury him if she needs too. Tali isn't shy when it comes to Battle related stuff.

Revan, is this a shotgun which I see before me, the handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee. I have thee not, and yet I see thee still. Art thou not, fatal vision, sensible to feeling as to sight? Or art thou but a shotgun of the mind, a false creation, proceeding from the heat-oppressed brain?

The strange idea of one Quarian pointing a gun at the other aside, which could only be a result of utter craziness as far as the rather homogenous quarian society is concerned - Tali might hesitate that split second too long if the other is really determined to shoot her. She would always pull the trigger on anything else, and if she would not immediately realize, say, in an already confusing threat situation or an ongoing firefight, she might pull the trigger, just to react in total shock at what she's done. But if she had time to see that it's a Quarian, she would definitely hesitate, and maybe too long. Which is the reason why you need a Shepard as a partner in the Rannoch Association of Licensed Investigators.

Revan!

I think she mentions about Quarians being brought up to sacrifice for the good of the fleet, so it would perhaps be in her culture to look out for Quarians in general more so then in Human culture to look out for other humans in general. Having said that, if someone points a gun at her I don't think it matters what their species is. I think a lot would depend on the situation. Of course sacrificing for the fleet is different then sacrificing for individual Quarians. I think she'd do her best to help a Quarian she didn't know though, if she was able to (rushing around to save the Galaxy would take priority of course, as would helping Shepard, though that's usually the same thing).

Exactly...Tali would evaluate the situation and then choose the best course of action. If that involved a shotgun blast to the chest armor of some Quarian I'm sure she would do it.

Haha hey exile, bazzy, fenfen :D
In class right now... still a ninja.

I was thinking, in reference to the quarian, tali is just walking about and suddenly a random quarian points a gun at her. Does she shoot without hesitation? Try to communicate? Is her reaction any different from if they were a batarian?

See my answer, I thought already you were thinking about that.

[EDIT] You don't love a woman because she is beautiful, but she is beautiful because you love her.

To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow,

Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,

To the last syllable of recorded memroy crystals;

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools

The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief flashlight!

Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player,

That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,

And then is heard no more. It is a tale

Told by a bosh'tet, full of sound and fury,

Signifying nothing.

If she couldn't defuse the situation, she'd blow its brains out quite happily.

How's the family dinner art coming along?

I think she would pull a gun without hestiation, you now, like a reflex, but I think she would then start communication to find out what the problem is. I think she would handle the situation the same as if it was a Batarian. Tali isn't a cold blooded killer even in the term of Self Defense. I also think how the person responds after Tali tries to communicate, you know Body Language and such would play a factor.

A thought I had regarding Terror's "A war is coming" statement:

And so they stood there, scared of what just was happening in front of them.
"Do you think he can argue them down ? As he ever does ?", Liara asked.
"I don't know. If he can make them understand Tali's condition...and that it was not...HER...", Garrus sighed.

The scene in front of them was a mix of political arguing and throwing threaths on whoever was not insulted yet.

On the right stood Admiral Han'Gerrel, standing his ground before an unbelievable angry Tevos. Their "talk" got harsher since Shala'Raan had to sit down, because of the fact that was revealed only a few minutes ago and the only thing that now consumed her mind: Tali'Zorah....indoctrinated.
Nobody could see her face, but her body language gave away enough. She was weeping. The last time she wept that freely was when Tali's mother died. She lost a good friend back then and now......she likely lost Tali, too.
The Geth that tried to take her place in the "talk" was completely ignored by Tevos.

On the left side it didn't look better. Primarch Victus was shouting with an angry voice and seemed to burst into flames as he "discused" the idiotic decision of a human representive. Besides him stood Urdnot Wrex, simply adding a cold stare at the human.

After what the indoctrinated Tali did to the Alliance and the Asari Republics, both victims now wanted revenge. And because the person responsible was at the moment out of reach, her species had to take the hits.

The war between the Asari-Human Coalition and the Geth-Quarian Alliance, was now nearly unavoidable.

Even that it was quite a loud situation, nobody overheard a few simple noises. It sounded as someone threw something with force on the ground. As Liara and Garrus turned around to the sound, the leaders stopped their arguing.

"You can't be SERIOUS !", the one making that sounds yelled.
"After all WE stood against TOGETHER, this is it how the galaxy will go on ?", he asked them. No answer came.
"It seems the Reapers were right about one thing: the only thing we cause.....is chaos.", the man said in a defeated voice, a voice nobody ever thought to hear from this one man.

With that Commander John Shepard, N7 soldier, first human Spectre, Hero of the Citadel, Destroyer of the Collectors, Destroyer of the Reaper and the man who made treaties between species that hated each other for a long time, turned and said: "I quit !........If I have to save Tali on my own......then so be it......."

All that remained of him were his badges on the ground of the Council chambers.
That and an awkward silence...

There would probably be more hesitation. But then I think most people would hesitate more over a Quarian then they would a Batarian.
