found a Tali hate thread!!!!
Let's address the counter-arguments!!!!
RighteousRage states "I would like Tali a lot more if she weren't racist and weren't such a baby"
What do you guys think about this? :]
If she's racist, then technically so is everyone in the Galaxy other then some Shepards and the non-heretic Geth themselves. There are laws against AIs. It's not like the rest of the Galaxy were going "Those Quarians, what racist gits hating on synthetics like that, we're all pro-synthetic over here in council space". Sheesh.
A baby? That's just retarded. But to really counter the argument would need more specifics on why the poster considers her a baby.

We have already discussed what would we
do: save the galaxy or save tali. What would tali do? Save the fleet, or
save shepard?
Tali > Galaxy, Shepard > Fleet. Would be hard of course. But that's still how it'd be.

GambitOne states "Before I start, let me acknowledge something. When I say I HATE Tali, it
is different then when I say, "I hate Subject Zero". When I say, "I
hate subject zero", I'm almost admitting she is a good character. I
acknowledge that SuZe is an interesting character, its just that her
attitude doesn't fit mine.
However,
when I say that I hate Tali, I mean something completely different. I
think the character Tali is so freakin' pointless. I don't mind the
Quarians, but Tali makes me angry. Any other Quarian squad member would
have been perfect. She is just uninteresting and unimportant in Mass
Effect 1, and has next to no tie with the story (other than giving you
Saren's evidence). It makes me angry that she of all people was brought
back to the team.
What baffles me even further is people who
want an LI for this freak? Or even worse, FIND HER ATTRACTIVE?! He is a
weird humanoid thing with 3 webbed toes and 3 long weird fingers. Not to
mention she wears a gigantic
robot mask. How can anyone claim her cute? Its kind of scary TBH.
Maybe I should be happy she was added to your squad in Mass Effect 2. Now I can kill her. "
Well, that's just like, your opinion, man.
Why do I get the impression this guy never bothered to speak much with Tali. He sounds like a guy with no imagination, no passion, no personality and no interest in anything other then bare naked flesh in front of him. I guess anyone that isn't a slu7 has no personality as far as he's concerned. Hell, he probably really liked the ME3 endings, that's how twisted that view is. Oh yeah and it's not like Liara/Samara/Morinth don't have tentacles on their head. Surely that is wierder then having less fingers and toes.

Lol alright xD
DarkLotusXS states "
She was a pretty average
character in ME1, far too 'devoted' to Shepard for my liking. In ME2
she seems to have grown up a bit, but is still too easily swayed by
Shepard's opinion, not the kind of character that appeals to me. The LI
side of it is just weird since she is more like a little sister then
anything else."

Bizare. How often do the other squad members disagree with Shepard? I recall choosing different options on playthroughs with Liara and whatever you say her response is "I agree". So Ash/Kaiden may not trust Shepard right away, but they certainly beg to come back on board. Even in ME1 Tali has a go a Shepard when he suggests that the Quarians may have been in the wrong with the Geth. Garrus meanwhile changes his entire philosophical outlook based on what you tell him he should do. The only crew member in ME1 to be less easily swayed by Shepard is Grunt. All that is while she is young and unexperienced and had just had her life saved by Shepard. In the circumstances you'd expect the character to be easily swayed. In ME2 she doesn't join Shepard right away. She's the only crewmember that goes off to do their own thing (by themselves) after the initial meeting. Also, don't forget she is one of the Squadies who's loyalty you can actually loose by disagreeing with her.
So really that opinion is totally unfounded. As for the little sister thing, well that is entirely in the posters mind. She's not actually related to Shepard, so it is just how you view it. Some people may see Ash as a little sister. Liara is old enough to be Shepards great great great grandmother, surely that would be wierd right?
