I'm honestly surprised she's a squadie. I assumed she would be leading the migrant fleet. I'm not complaining; I'm just surprised.
The Shadow Broker said it himself. She's no leader.

Many don't. Alot of fans say bi tali would not fit her character, and she has never said anything to femshep that she is interested.Cheese of Borg wrote...
I just don't see a bi Tali.

“Wow, this ship is even more amazing then the old Normandy!”
Shepard grinned. “I might not like Cerberus, but they can sure build a ship.”
“That they can,” Tali replied. “I don’t like all the logos they’ve stuck
everywhere, but I guess it can’t be helped. Anyway, I better head down
to engineering and get to work.”
As she turned towards the elevator Shepard reached out and grabbed her by
the shoulder. “Uhh, there’s one more person on the ship you should
probably meet.”
As she turned around, Tali noticed that Shepard seemed to be fidgeting nervously. “And who’s that?” she asked him curiously.
Shepard let out a quick sigh. This won’t be fun, he thought to himself. But they have to meet one way or another, and I’d rather tell her myself then have her find out on her own. “Follow me, we’re heading down to the comm room.”
As they entered the comm room, they were greeted by an orange hologram of
the new Normandy, shimmering over what looked to be some sort of desk.
She gave the room a quick lookover, surprised to see that there was no
one in the room. “Shepard?”
“Yeah?”
“There’s no one else here.”
“Yeah...” He was very nervous she noted. His next request took her by surprise.
“Tali, can you hand me your shotgun for a moment?”
“I guess...” She replied, grabbing the weapon and handing it over to Shepard. “Here.”
“Thanks.” He carefully took the weapon from the quarian’s hands. “Okay, I’ll introduce you now.”
“Oh... Okay,” Tali acknowledged, very confused. Why does he need my shotgun? she asked herself. And why is he so nervous? You’d think he was going to introduce me to an AI or something.
“EDI, could you uhh, introduce yourself please?” Shepard asked, staring at a
terminal attached to the desk with the Normandy hologram.
“Hey, Shepard? There’s no one else he-” She was interrupted by a blue hologram springing to life on the terminal.
“Of course, Commander.” Tali glance around the room, trying to figure out
who was speaking. After a few moments, she realized that the voice had
originated from the terminal Shepard had been looking at. The hologram
floating above the terminal caught her attention. It looked like a blue
orb attached to a long cylindrical shape. “Greetings Tali’Zorah. The
Commander has instructed me to give you full access to the ship.”
“Uhh, Thanks? Shepard, is this the ship’s VI?”
“Actually...”
EDI cut him off, answering the question for him. “I am the Normandy’s shipboard artificial intelligence system.”
As EDI finished speaking, Shepard looked over at Tali, waiting for a
response. A few long seconds of silence passed, and Shepard realized
that her hand was in her shotguns weapon holster. I
guess it was a good idea to take the weapon from her. Not that I don’t
trust her, but after what happened to her people, I’m not so sure she
would get along well with-
“An AI!” At the sound of Tali’s piercing shriek, Shepard closed his eyes,
and tried to think of something he could say to calm her down.
R&R! All comments are appreciated.

When shepard brought tali aboard the SR-2 was jacob aware of the quarian/geth conflict? Or was he being a jerk, i thought it was common knowledge about the quarians. Well if he did know that was just straight mean, or maybe he just put his foot in his mouth. Wait now that I think about it when shep says he is going to reactivate legion he did say "tali's gonna flip". I just felt all kinds of tension when she was brought aboard. I know the quarians have beef with cerberus too.
I think he was aware, but I don't think he realized that she would associate an AI with geth. After all, EDI's a hologram not a mobile rifle wielding death machine.

Same here, man - here's hoping those fish last on their own for 7 months, I think Shepard and Tali are going to be a little too busy to feed them.magnuskn wrote...

Neither are geth actually, they just happen to use lots of armored mobile platforms, I think edi could also assume control of an armored robot if it wanted to, just like geth are implied to do.
