ME1 combat was more hectic.

Poison! Getting thrown around! Bombs!, Random squadmate Leeroy charges, Sanic speed Krogans, Nuking husks, hopping geth and more.

And me not caring because my defence stat was likely higher than a Sovereign class Reaper by then.

Garrus had Colossus X and all his Spectre Master stuff all Mastered and stuff.
He still died every two damn seconds.
Tali was even worse, her armour is rare
and no, I didn't get any from Bring Down The Sky. I always make the PC strong first, unless the NPCs can revive you or something.

But who's gonna unlock them creates for ya! Tali!
Who's gonna spam carnage while Wrex and Shepard isn't? Tali!
Who's gonna fix dat Mako when Shepard isn't en engineer? Tali!

Who's gonna Carnage? Nobody, all hostiles are already terminated.

That's why I'm glad for ME3. I mean, they should have completely got rid of the fact that henchmen do less damage, and made them able to revive you... but you know.

Tali was by far the most useful character to me in ME1. So would have had her with me most of the time even without her having a great personality. Getting good armour for her was a pain and in the end I did end up using the Bring down the skies reward for her.

I didn't enjoy biotic squadmates. They constantly cause bugs in missions. Like Noveria they can cause a few Racnhi to get stuck underground and all of that jazz.

Anyhow I am still happy to bring Tali and Garrus around.


I actually remember a trailer where the player can control squadmates. I wonder where that feature go?

Liara = Full Biotic
Tali = Full Tech
Shepard = Full Soldier

I usually brought Garrus and Wrex. But obviously to geth the other achievements I had to have each squad mate through majority of the game. So my other 2 pairs were Tali/Liara and Ashley/Kaidan.
All of them had collosus X and maxed spectre weapons. I miss being able to transfer over with all your money and gear from the original playthrough.
And I miss having all those gear options to begin with. Customization is one of my favourite things gameplay wise. I loved the depth to which ME1 was customizable.

How can i be racist? I used liara, and tali and garrus. I think i just don't like the krogan way. I didn't use grunt much in me2, or vega in me3. Its just not my style i think. I will use him one day, as i want that acheivement.

I tend to prefer a balanced squad, and don't like things being too top heavy. I don't mind going all tech, because thats good against geth, but anyrhing else i like to keep a balance.

She had a shotgun tree. Which shows that she has a fighting spirit!

With how unbalanced Pinnacle Station is, you pretty much have to use Ash and Wrex, or else you're getting no mileage out of your squad.
Otherwise, I'd have done it post-Virmire.

...I guess I was the only person who even remotely enjoyed that DLC?

But she was all tech.
I didn't like the ones that were all tech or all biotic.
They were like tissue paper. They were constantly dying.
That's why I liked the ones that had at least half combat (in ME1 anyways, in the others it wasn't a big deal).

Weirdly, i found that as mass effect went on, my squad became less and less balanced, so by me3 it was just whoever i felt like using, (mostly tali and garrus). I think i used vega about 3 times, edi twice and javik once. Ash i used maybe twice. Liara i used a fair bit.

I would love to complete pinnacle station. However, my pc is unable to keep framerate during time limits, which pretty much make the capture missions nigh on impossible. It also makes the final run to the conduit a pain in the ass

I know this because I was playing fairly recently: In ME1, Tali could beat the crap out of some geth. And with her electronics skill fully upgraded, she had a lot of shields. I remember being very disappointed with Wrex's combat prowess or lack thereof. For a krogan, he seemed to die a lot. Not only that, but he had less HP than Shepard, and unlike every other krogan in the game, he had no ability to charge, or make any worthy melee attack.

Wrex was a tank in my ME1...
Tali was pretty much as weak as Liara was. Hated the playthrough when I had to have both of em with me (I saved it for last when I had all the best armor and weapons. )

Thats still my fave combination! But then, James Shepard is a soldier.

Ashley lasted longer than Wrex. Kinda sad, imo. But I gave him Colossus X armor, maxed out every defensive ability possible, and hoped for the best.

My fave armor for wrex is the geth armory one. Makes him look like a krogan on a mission

I went thru the console. I found a HK shadowworks armor. Spectre.

Nice stats but no new looks and it's not attainable without consoles ;(
