Well, I just finished my second playthrough of ME3... and by finished i mean i completed the Cerberus Base mission. No way in heck I am going to touch Priority: Earth and the Starchild's endings with a 100ft pole.

I like to go up to the point you have your final conversation with Tali on earth, its an emotional scene and I feel the best way to end the game.

What really happens when you beat the final boss is the whole of reality starts up again, only this time things move slightly faster and if you do it enough, you don't even start with any shields.

Eh, my life would be a really boring videogame

Lots of people like to play The Sims... and besides, they might only see tiny snippets of what you've lived so far as a tutorial before things hit the fan with the velocity of a P-Oed Reaper.

Some people believe our universe may well be a computer simulation, or indeed a simulation inside of another simulation inside of another...ad infinitum. So perhaps it would be us somehow emerging out a video game in the Mass Effect universe. You could right now be on a computer on the Normandy only a few bytes away from Jokers porn collection.

No one believes that. People accept that it is a possibility that cannot be disproven, but no one thinks that it is true. Those who do, usually die.
I accept that Tali could exist if there are infinite universes but I do not say that it is true for it is untestable. It is the same for the idea that we are living in a virtual reality.

To an extent I am one of those people I belive in other universes that is how they know us but that is it

We could communicate through pictures. She certainly understands those.

She speaks english, as you can clearly hear her say the language when she takes off her mask and partly in ME2, when she finishes her romantic dialog in Shepard's cabin.  It is suggested that she speaks english without a universal translator in ME2 given that forementioned romance scene.

Indeed. Our bodies can actually convert dextro amino-acids into levo form. It is less efficient then eating the right form for us, but it works. So it would probably work for Tali. I wonder if her hacking skills would translate into our world (would be handy for the returning to the gameworld scenario above)

Probably the most likely(!?) thing would be that as she moved in to our reality, she'd actually turn into a Human version of Tali. Which would of course then raise the question for anyone that discovered her - Is it Tali fallen into our reality, or just some mentally unstable woman that thinks she's Tali?

That sounds like space magic to me...
I doubt that would happen. There is no reason for it to.
There is no answer to is she the real Tali or just an insane woman. I don't know how to answer that.

Well, given we're talking about a fictional character randomly disapearing from a computer game and appearing in our reality....I think it's fairly safe to say we started off way way way outside the area of actual feasibility and well inside the area of space magic to begin with. But if the universe was to apply any logic to what was happening, it couldn't cope with the laws of an alternate universe applying to just one thing living in our own, so as it created the our universe version of Tali it would have to create it in a form that it understand. Thus Human Tali is born. It deals with all the problems from dextro food to universal translators and even her immune systems odd configuration. Certainly there is no reason for the rules of another universe to apply in our own just because the life form from that universe appeared there.

Nice point. There were no writing oversights in that game.

It was a Space Invaders reference. But as it happens, I have plot shields. Which is like plot armor but more stealthy.

It doesn't, however, provide a flat 50 damage reduction to all plot-based enemy attacks.

At least until we can probe down to the plank level. Then we will suddenly break through into trans-dimensional alien porn... and we'll know the horrible truth.

I don't know about that, I mean...well, im sure you would get the idea if you look at the game closely.

As for anything Tali related that might be a oversight?  Well, there is the whole adapting thing...but other than that, the main issues I see is what's missing; Did Tali really have at it with Shepard when they met and rekinded the relationship?  Did they keep in contact when Shepard was imprisoned?  The stuff that's missing is really the only major weakness I can think of when it comes to the relationship, but that's mostly due to the writers and stuff.  I had a feeling that replacing the writers that left would screw up the game, but oh well...I should have forseen this.

But despite this, Tali might say,

"Some legend huh?  You must be disappointed."

To which I will reply,

"No.  I'm not."

In regards to the issue.

(Kudos if you get what movie those lines are from.)

I just meant that I do not think that a transition is necessary when I used the term "space magic."
There is a difference between contradicting our laws of reality than having evolved differently.
Tali's dextro amino acids do not contradict our laws of reality. Dextro amino acids exist in our bodies. They are not active, but they do exist. Organisms can exist on Dextro amino acids in our reality, just not humans. I don't know what part of Tali does contradict the laws of this reality.
The transition to Human Tali probably would depend upon how Tali arrived here. If she went through a wormhole of some kind, this transition probably would happen. A wormhole indicates a gradual change where her transition can occur. If she fell through a tear in reality, she would probably not transition. The journey would be too abrupt and our laws might not affect her. She would just appear.

IMO, this discussion was a fun Kingdom Hearts-esque thing (even though it started with a mention of the tragedy that shall not be named) but now it's kinda dull and over-analytical...

It's late anyhow, think imma... hit the... hay. -_-

There are plenty of things missing in teh relationship presented to us by Bioware but the material there seems to have few inconsistencies.
Filling in the missing material is exactly what Fanfiction is for and the Talimancers in particular have excelled in that field.

I think the fact that the ME universe dextro/levo thing works differently to our universe would be one way in which it contradicts our rules. But more important is the fact that she's a digital rendering of an alien life form and not actually an alien life form. The computer game doesn't contain detailed biology on her body. How would our universe translate that? Given that we don't know if aliens exist in our universe at all (regardless of if it's possible) then the closest thing we know of to what the image in the game is would be a human.

Of course the other option would be that she'd transfer across, but without any biology and then just instantly collapse into a pile of gloop.

Analysis is what I try to excel at. Further analysis makes the Mass Effect world more real. If we understand it more, the more real it can be in our minds. But I see your point. Tali art is exactly what we needed.

Ah, I thought that we were assuming that the Mass Effect Universe was a separate reality from ours rather than a videogame for the purpose of the reality transition discussion and given the theory of infinite universes.
In that case, our reality might take the raw data that is Tali in the digital world and it would be as such in our world. digital information. Perhaps her digital essence would be similar to a radio transmission burst in our reality. I doubt raw digital data would be translated into a life form such as a human Tali. That act of transition would break our reality's laws I think.

I deleted mine because of all the negative reviews I got plus the fact that I suck so hard at making stuff.

Nah, just kidding.  Been working on my latest chapter a bit, it's big.
