Hey guys. I just wrote my first take at a tali fanfic. I only wrote the prologue but I will progress it in the incoming days.

Somewhat of an update on a new chapter I've been working on. Kinda stopped for a bit but I'm resuming it. It's set during ME2, it's a different take on how Shepard romances Tali, with Garrus involved into a love triangle of sorts(OH THE DRAMA). Other chapters are written...disorganized, but written. Will go back and fix/extend a few though. It starts with the "Reunion" chapter. But here's a sneak peek of the new one:

It's calm and quiet aboard the Normandy. The humming of the lights can be easily heard in the quiet. In the Captain's Cabin, Shepard is reading over a debriefing report of Tali's Trial on the Migrant Fleet. Geth had been activated and became hostile on the Alarei. Shepard, Tali and Garrus went to the ship, trying to figure out how and why geth were there. In the aftermath of the conflict, Rael'Zorah, Tali's father, was found dead. He and a science team had been running a secret project on the geth, trying to figure out weaknesses or ways to use their technology against them in possible preparations for a war in the future.

Tali was greatly distraught when she had found her father's body, and with help from Shepard and Garrus, found evidence that could ruin her father's late reputation. When they returned, Shepard pulled a bluff however, and convinced the Admiralty Board to drop all charges against Tali.

After finishing the debriefing, Shepard put down the datapad, leaned back in his chair and rubbed his eyes, wondering what Tali was feeling right now. He turned towards the aquarium and watched as the fish elegantly swam around, practically dancing in motion. Shepard paused for a moment and tried to collect his thoughts before standing up. He proceeded to head towards the Engineering Deck to see how Tali was doing.

The problem is they didn't to a good job with the facial marking that sits near the top of her eyelid. The base of that marking should be slightly higher, and overall the marking should be thicker.

I do like the official nose better than the one in the redone photo, which is basically a human nose. The way I've drawn her nose in my fanart sums up how I see it in the photo: a lack of "flesh" above her nostrils, giving her nose a thin appearance, and the nostrils themselves have a peculiar shape to them.

I also like how her eyes are wide apart. This feature, along with her nose does give her more of an alien look in my opinion.

I'm not disagreeing with you, only explaining why I like the official design despite its poor execution. There are inconsistencies and asymmetry, but that design has inspired some great fanart... which ultimately inspired me to draw again, something I haven't done in a very long time.

Hey, no worries. Loving all three that you've linked. Listening to Silent Moon, I'm reminded of this.

Canon one is awesome, this is even more awesome:

 Basically its the canon one improved, I use this one ingame, not at last because its resolution is about 3 times higher than the original one.

Ah, this is the Rannoch version of the remade version of the official photo. 

Different background, different-colored fingernails, Tali design on clothing.

It's a great feeling to revive old hobbies. I definitely encourage you to go for it.

A while back, when we were talking about quarian musical instruments, someone (bazzag?) said he was trying to draw Shepard playing the piano while Tali sat on the piano, singing. I don't think he completed that drawing, but people seemed to like the idea.

I can't draw, but I figured i'd give gmod a try. Here's the result (note: this is my first time using gmod).

I just picked a random prop to try posing stuff.

Which, by the way, is friggin' hard. It's way to easy to screw the whole thing up and as far as I can tell there's no real undo option.

It's also annoying that quite a lot of the maps you can download for gmod require that you have Half Life 2 Ep. 2 or CSS, or some other Source game, otherwise you end up with broken textures. Unfortunately, the only Source game I have is Portal.
