Tali: Did you like me already when I was on the first Normandy?

Shepard *continues reading*: Yeah, why?

Tali: Just asking...

*Tali dangles her feet some more, Shepard scrolling with his thumb through the datapad*

Tali: Shepard?

Shepard: Mmmh?

Tali: Did you ever think to...not wait for me?

Shepard: Not a sec.

Tali: Really?

Shepard: Yep.

Tali: Not when you were spaced?

Shepard *looking up*: I thought I was dying. My last thoughts were with you.

Tali: Really?

Shepard: I was looking for your escape pod when I was falling. Hoping you made it out.

Tali: That's so sweet...

Shepard: Well, I wasn't sure. So I died hoping you live.

Tali *sighing, touched*: I was so heartbroken...

Shepard: Sorry about that. Didn't really want to die, but crew first, you know.

Tali: Yes...do you hold it against me that I survived the teams I lead?

Shepard: What? No! Why would I?

Tali *turning fingers*: Well, you died for us...and I let everybody else die...

Shepard *putting away datapad*: Nonsense. On Freedom's Progress you saved lives. And the ones that died did because they disobeyed your orders. And on Haelstrom you knew mission came first. And you did everything to complete it. Like I would've done.

Tali *genuinely*: Thank you...

Shepard *getting up*: Still, you should've taken me with you then.

Tali *getting up herself*: I wanted to! But it was a Quarian thing...I had to lead the mission, and...

Shepard *hugging her*: Ssssh. I know.

Tali *slightly hugging back, looking up*: I was so sad, leaving you at Freedom's Progress...

Shepard *pulling her close*: I counted the seconds. Until I got you back.

Tali *leaning head against him, sighing happily*

No. Because even with cloning its two different people. They arent the same. Shep and tali only have eyes for eachother. No one else!

I am a simple man with simple machines, I have my laptop and its built in webcam which I will admit does not have the best audio. If you have suggestions for software that I could find *coughcoughpiratecoughcough* that would be appreciated

Shepard *sighing deeply*: Every day.

Shepard: I was so lonely. I could not distract me long enough. I pictured you in my mind. I talked to you. Thought about what we talked about earlier. And what you would answer to my thoughts.

Tali: ...this is so...you are...I thought of you, too. Every day.

Shepard *sighs and leans back*: I missed you horribly. No matter what I did, I missed your voice. Your personality. Your hug. I was about to carve your face into the wall with my fingernails. But I'm no artist. I just wanted you back. Some days I nearly went nuts. I wished I could just break out, get to some shuttle, speed out to the Charon relay and find you...

Tali *getting up*

Shepard *looking at her continuously*: Whenever I could, when they let me out for questions or medicals, I looked through the window. Up to the sky, down to the walkway. Hoping to see you. Or any quarian. Get a message to you, something...

Tali *nearly rushing to him, falling on her knees, hugging him*

Shepard *hugs back, bowing forward, sliding from the chair to the floor*

Tali *hugging him tightly, in a teary voice*: I missed you so much...
