Awhile back I wrote a rough draft for a alternate ending fanfic, but ended up not publishing it due to there being about a billion others, and thus my story would have been very redundant. Thus it is kinda just sitting there in a unfinished state.
However about a week or so ago I started thinking about what could happen after that story, and from this train of thought came up with a idea for a fanfic-series. Since summer break starts for me in a little over a month and i am not going to be doing much this summer, I think I am going to attempt to write it.
This would be my first attempt at writing my own story (beyond what I have done in tabletop RPGs); and am worried i will screw it up badly. As such I am going to be spending the next month or so planning and getting the details figured out before I go ahead and write the story (such as the state of the galaxy after the war, plot details, etc). Thus far I have a 13pg rough outline of the story, but am no where near to the point I want it to be. I am thinking of posting my progress with the planning to get feedback and suggestions as I work, since I really want to make sure I don't screw anything up.
The basic summry of my story concept this thus: The story takes place 23 years after the end of the Reaper war, and will follow two separate intertwined storyline. One story-chain would follow Shepard & Tali's adopted daughter (and a bunch of new characters), while the other would follow Shepard as he receives his first big Spectre assignment in over 3 years. Both of these plotchains would be dealing with a newly-reemerged thread...
So do you guys think I should go ahead with this? Any suggestions and feedback would be appreciated.
yeah, go forward with it. You never know what cool stuff could come from it. The story sounds interesting to me.
