Tali'Zorah ME3 Thread *MAJOR SPOILER WARNING!*

Mass Effect was just a temporary relapse from my EA hating. ME3's ending has restored things to its proper order. I just hope BioWare is popular/influential enough to fix things despite EA's machinations.

A lot of people that redeemed the victory pack last night, logged out, then logged in afterwards(time between doing so doesn't matter) had an error where they have to redeem an online passcode to even play the game. I can't play SP or MP due to this bug, as many others can't as well.
Well, then write fanfics or find a real-life Tali for yourself? Something practical, or at least inspirational, I'd say. I know, that's a very, very tall order...

What online pass bug? Played some MP earlier in the day. What did they do now? And I blame Bioware for anything ME3 related, and hope EA will fix or cut off the company.
Yeah, because a rushed game release schedule is totally the fault of the developer, not the ones holding the money. Sorry Madayar, I think your blame is woefully misplaced.
I hold EA at fault for pretty much everything....not Bioware.
Never liked EA since online passes and not allowing Porsche in Forza 4 <_<.....

I have three things for and about Tali right now. One I haven't done in a while, "Stay Shepard - prefer Tali'Zorah":
On a relaxing morning, he volunteers to take Chikkita for a walk. In his foresight, he replaces her worn out tools without her even having to ask. Because of him, she had this. He is...the most considerate Shepard in the world.
"I don't always live a life. But when I do - I live it with Tali'Zorah."
"Stay Shepard, my friends."
Then there is "Tali: Shepard? - Shepard: Mmh?", as I have demonstrated above.
And there is "Tali / Shepard - Law and Disorder", which you seem to like.

Rather simple. EA holds the money, they can still save the game. If I give up on EA, I give up on the whole ME3. And I'm still not ready for that. I liked it too much in parts.
I'll try to keep it short, since I already derail this thread enough. Mass effect took something like 4 years to develop. Granted it was the first, so they had to come up with all the new concepts from scratch. EA bought Bioware and the rights to ME, ME2 only had a 2.5 year development cycle (if I remember correctly). ME3 had even less. EA is the business end of what makes Mass Effect now, and regardless of what anyone thinks otherwise (I've yet to find someone), their main concern is not the quality of the product in terms of story/fan feelings, it's the bottom line (profits). The faster a game can come out, the less time/assets spent in its development, the greater and faster the return. They seem to have figured with ME3, they could reallocate resources a little differently (MP studio, merchandise) to make the additional profits while shortening the dev cycle.
EA already has its "gold star" games (Battlefield, anything sports related) so anything Bioware cranks out is just a little bit of extra on the side from a developer that has an established fanbase. EA is not going to "save Bioware" unless they see the benefits of retaining a profit. With ME3, they miscalculated. It still made them a massive load of money at onset, but I think they tried to squeeze a bit too much. Bioware had already asked for more time and pushed the release date back once to March (probably approved by EA because it meant less competition for the holiday season games). Unfortunately a few months is nothing really.
Basically my point is that EA, being in charge of Bioware, is most definitely the correct target for blame. This isn't to say we should demonise them, but since THEY are the top of the totem pole this debacle rests on their shoulders. Its a thing called responsibility. When you are in charge of someone else, they are YOUR responsibility. Leadership and responsibility is not something where you slough off the blame for something to the bottom of the totem pole when YOU are the one who gives them direction and controls their resources. Unfortunately, this is how it works for EA (for the most part) with Bioware acting as a buffer for fan hate. My suggestion is that you don't fall for this misdirection and focus on convincing EA to spend more money on their properties, rather than demoralize the creative minds that bring the games to life. Otherwise, you WILL give reason to "papa moneybags" EA to kill off Bioware.
An added note: this is also why Bioware is acting "high and mighty" and defending their product. You think they want to get fired/shelved by EA by negatively talking about their product? No, that's not how business works. They would sooner release details and spoil the plot of their game than risk their overlords come crashing down with a giant legal banhammer of justice. Biowares profits are really EA's when it boils down to it. Their "hubris" is more a form of an NDA than anything else.

I see that. All of it. Problem is, I take a different approach. I'm okay with going along with EA's terror towards Bioware, they let them take the blame. Sure, that's not fair, but then again, EA is Master Control Program of Bioware now, sadly Bioware is the puppet that EA waves, the Hunger Games for the Capitol, the attack on the black gate for Frodo. I know EA is completely responsible, from beginning to the end, and this game should never have published as it is. Sadly, all I can say is, I place trust in EA that they force Bioware to change it - which they would probably readily do - so they can get more money. Which is also the reason why I HATE the sales numbers for ME3, for they are FAR too high to make EA even consider putting much effort into it. Also can't understand the Battlefield hype and all, never interested me, but then again, not the target group, anyway. I just hope that in between worst company in the history of the universe award and ME3 ending disaster, and facing the existing sales, they will consider changing the ending well enough to pump out some more DLC so they can make money from it. The alternative...probably scrap Bioware, sell it off to some other company. I would be okay with that, as long as the ME-Rights are in the package, so they can change the existing or create a new game. Until one of the two things happen, I'm willing to talk Sauron's talk. I know I'm making a deal with the demons themselves, but as long as this game is changed for the good fans - you know, gamer, revan, the likes - I might get lucky and enjoy it, too. Would I invest in EA? Ahm...the...stock trend would not justify it...
Back to Tali, the best creation of the entire series.

I don't think EA needs to "force" anything on Bioware. If anything (assuming Bioware's employees do still have passion for their creations, which I think they do), I think they'll jump at the chance to have their story viewed in a positive light again. Just maybe hold the whip back a bit, won't you EA?
I'll just say, it's more effective to talk to the puppet master than the puppet itself.
Here's an interesting question though... All we see of Rannoch is an "Arizona-like" desert with shrubs etc. Given that we don't know exactly where the missions in ME3 take place, could it be possible that the southern continent Raan speaks of could be a bit more lush, maybe even subtropical? That would certainly fit the description of "walled garden" (and a much better place to put a house).

While it is slighty more arid than earth, I have no doubt in my mind that there are sub-tropical, tropical and similar zones earth has. I think a jungle environment would be a good place for Tali and Shepard to put their house at, I couldn't quite see them living in a desert...

Regarding EA, I hate the sense of greed they have. I understand that business is business and EA's out to make money, but you'd have to be stupid to think that with such a huge fanbase as Mass Effect, people wouldn't be willing to wait for a perfectly polished game and spend whatever amount of money to play it. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed ME3 though there were a few things that irked me(fetch quests, auto-dialogue, the abomination of an "ending," etc.).
...Just gotta hold the line for a little longer and hope this DLC for SP saves the series. Otherwise...I just can't play it. I can't...I've tried.
To put it this way, I'll paraphrase what I was told by a Gamestop employee when I asked why ME3 wasn't on their midnight release list: "Mass Effect isn't big enough of a game for us to do a midnight release, unlike Call of Duty or Battlefield." Yup.

I like to think of Rannoch as somewhat tropical near portions of the coast, with "badlands" and desert farther inland. I wouldn't call it a jungle, but something similar to some of the more arid coastal areas of Australia.
Something near/around this:
Good place for a house. Better than where Shepard picked up that rock, anyway.
