Yes, you`re right about that. I do agree that a hodge-podge solution probably won`t make it as an implant. But considering they are confined to their suits, I had expected that they would at least have something in order to relieve the suits.ChaplainTappman wrote...
But that kind of proves my point. Anything tech for their suits reverse-engineered by quarians on their Pilgrimage would be a hodge-podge, glommed onto their individual suits. Improvised and adapted technology rarely works as well as purpose-built.
After all, you can`t just tag everything onto a suit because it would make things hard to move around if there is too much on it. And they still need a translator, an omni-tool, probably a few weapons and in the case of a Quarian a sort of environment their bodies need to stay alive, most importantly a breathable air-supply. Now I admit I don`t know how heavy any of it is (a translator is probably only a chip), but a regular Quarian doesn`t seem overly strong in comparison to humans or Turians, so with the suit itself they`re already having a handicap - although they might not see it that way themselves.
Personally I don`t quite believe the claim that they`re robotic in any way, or at least not significantly more than the other races. I do believe they still have some implants though as they cannot quite rely on help from many other races. They`ll have to be self-sufficient enough to rely on themselves and the suit most of the time, so they might simply need more than a 'regular' single person travelling around, especially since they will be treated differently as well.ChaplainTappman wrote...I don't place any stock in the "quarians are robots under their masks oh noes!!!!!" rumors. To me, it's just a rumor bred of ignorance, much like the image of them all as beggars and thieves. I doubt they're any more inorganic than the average human, probably less so as a result of their immune systems.
I wonder if there are also Quarians who actually die during their Pelgrimage.

I think so, Tali is running Win Vista, while Shep is running Win ME :innocent:

I think it would be more likely that Tali is running on some sort of custom (linux maybe) distro while Shepard is running on a version of Win7.mauro2222 wrote...

If he installs a backwards compatable hardware driver he'll be fine.

I like both of those, Runescape and Webkahve! For my part, as I lack artistic talent and appropriate web-fu, I wrote more. No Tali in this bit, but I'm getting there.

Although this does remind me of my distaste for the Suicide Mission. Most of the squadmates were either useless, or redundant.

One particular time I brought team Dextro, I ended up saving Garrus from falling to his death....didn't really work as well as saving Tali.
