How would you guys react to Quarians discovering Earth right now? I for one would bow down to our new overlord 

I wonder how our governments would react. Would they be hostile, or react peacefully?

Humans can barely keep any peace among themselves let alone unite.  I'd be surprised if we could go 2 secs without starting war with a completely different intelligent species.  What a shame
