Read the whole thing. There are plenty of justifications as to why Shepard's not a complete douche, and it's just not a face value thing.

I never really minded that much. In fact, I kind of liked how much of Tali's romance seems to be non-verbal; it makes me feel like they have a deeper connection. Of course, that could just be me projecting myself onto Shepard, but isn't that the point of an RPG?

Much of Shepard's dialogue is pretty weak anyway ("we fight or we die"; really? that's your battle plan?). I wonder who wrote Shepard's side of the romance dialogue? Was it Patrick Weekes (Tali's writer), or whoever the primary writer for Shepard was?

Shepard's dialog is where the time constraints were felt at times. The ending... was a different matter. Now, I don't hate auto dialog, I approve of it. It removes the illusion of choice that cropped up too often in the other games. But there are occasions where your actions can't speak louder than words in the game.

While Shepard's persona is more shapable in this game through actions than ever, words suffer. You can genuinely detest the krogan, the geth, the quarians, the hanar... And actively work to getting them killed/kill them yourself. You can use people in horrifying ways, you can play the hero, you can save the galaxy because otherwise you won't have a place to live... But you can't play the diplomat in front of a defence comittee. :/

Just read the topic most of you were referring to. I have to say I don't agree with most of it; point number 4 on the other hand is the only one I had any issue with. Overall though the romance was fine. Do I wish there was more time with her..., of course.  It's Tali after all why wouldn't I want more time.

 You better make it worth it! I just bought a 160$ ereader to enjoy your (and others) ff better! I don't want to be disappointed by an ending again!

Sounds good Terror no need to rush it. lol Do what you must to get it the way you want it.

@Darman: Luckily Terror isn't running on a time limit and limited resources, so we don't have to worry about that being a cause at least.

I had my shields up, so the projectile bounced off. And if i shot myself in the head without shields, I don't think Medi-Gel would help that.
