I reiterate. The geth did not attack the quarians. The quarians attacked the geth. Her racism is based off of faulty evidence, which is why she changes.

ALL racism stems from the perception of legitimate greivance.

She is no more racist than the rest of the galaxy. Everyone hates the geth, therefor everyone is racist. Not worth noting.

It's not really a matter of semantics. Geth are a species, and the term "race" is used in sci-fi and fantasy to refer to species.
Tali was brought up to hate the geth. Not the geth that drove them from Rannoch, not the geth allied with the Reapers, all of them.

Although, admittedly, Legion is the main difference between unfounded racism, and a rational hatred. So are peace points.

...would you call it racism if a colonist Shepard hated all batarians?

and exactly my point. Her racism is not worth noting. Everyone is racist. Garrus is just as racist.

What is worth noting - however, is how she grows out of it, or dies first. Which was my exact point. Especially given her species' extra-powerful hatred for them.
The galaxy as a whole likely doesn't properly grow out of it even when geth are saving their lives.

Probably because everyone takes a leaf from the American school of competitive debating, where the goal is to shut your opponent up by any non-violent means necessary. <_<
The whole point of a civil debate is supposed to be argument/counter argument, proceed until one argument cannot be countered on the basis that it's a sound one, not that it's gibberish, incomprehensible, or is just plain not anchored in any sort of science or other proof. Then, move onto the next one.
Don't defend your position like some starving wolf pack on a carcass. Ditch it if it's proven wrong.

...kinda like I did with the whole "Tali's racism is special, not just the way she gets over it" thing.

And I'm just saying that racism is bad mmmkay.
And the thing is, neither of us are actually right or wrong, thanks to the nonlinear nature of Mass Effect.
It's just that Tali is wrong on the heroic route. Not necessarily on others...
