Tali and Shepard's DNA is so far apart that trying to make them compatible basically means creating quarian DNA from scratch with traits that are roughly the quarian equivalent of Shepard's human traits. In this case, the child would be Tali's, but it would be no more Shepard's child than if they'd adopted or used a surrogate father. It would look more like him, but that's all.-N7-Seeker wrote...
I am at the genetic side. Converting DNA to be compatible. An adopted childern is not really theirs.
Plus, what does it matter if the child is biologically theirs? All that matters is if they love it.
