Just a quick note. Chapter 3 of my Fan Fic is up, links to all chapters in my sig. It's all scene setting so far, but I'm looking forward to writing the next chapter. Things start to kick into gear. Maybe get it done over the weekend.

Tali has been almost abandoned here on the BSN due to some thinking it was a good idea to move to other sites.

I think you are mistaken. This is a good thing in the end. This thread was becoming what it was before when it was closed down. We have nullified that possibility.

Okay, now thatb I have time, I shall answer my own question.

My cannon Shepard (John, Soldier: Spacer/Sole-Survivor) was a sole-survivor, thus in the begining of ME1 was very cold and impersonal when talking to team members, he had decided it would be easiler for him if he did not grow attached to his team.

However this began to change when he started to talk to Tali on his frequent visits to enginearing (While growing up, John would often spend his free time talking to and helping the enginears on the ships he lived). He found he enjoyed talking to her, discussing ships and tech, topics that they both shared (While a Soldier, John has always been good at tech stuff, just not in terms of combat) and due to living on ships most of his childhood found he shared a common groand that few human did.

From these talks, Shepard began to open up, not only with Tali, but the rest of the crew. Though at the time he began to develope feelings for her, he did not pursue a relationship. He assumed she would not be interested becasue he was Human, just as Tali had assumed he would not be interested because she was a Quarian. He eventually entered a relationship with Liara (((I was trying to go no-romance, but got ninja-manced...but decided to roll with it anyhow)) though even then still had feeling for her.

Then came the events of ME2. After coming back, he found everything had changed. His friends either called him a trator (Kaidan) or had become absorbed by revenge (Liara, thus ending that relationship); but Tali (along with Garrus) had joined him again despite all that has happened. John once again did not act on his feeling for Tali, fearing that if he did and she rejected him it would somehow ruin his friendship with her. It wasn;t untill she made her feeling known that he finally begin a relationship with her.

My headcanon is nearly identical to this in a lot of ways, except I managed to nullmance. And slept with tali in ME1. Then died.

People ,chill out the thread isn't dying. It was like this until about two or three weeks before ME3 released. So take a deep breath and remember that this is the Tali thread, not the "we need to keep this thread alive thread".

Why did I romance Tali. I don't honestly know. Beyond the fact that I Hate almost all of the other LI's for some reason (space ****s, whispery wierdos, *****es, psychos... you get the idea), I found Tali to be a kind of middle ground. She seemed normal, and like a character that actually cared about Shepard. Now that I think about it, the fact that she joined up with Shepard even though he was with Cerberus points to that fact even further. All in all, I can't really say why, just like it is often hard to pinpoint when someone became your friend, I can't really say what made the difference between her and the others, but I always picked Tali.

Ok if Im going by my Shepard:
Derek Shepard, Vanguard, Spacer, War hero. He fell for her in ME1, but she seemed to keep him at a certain distance so there just wasn't an option to carry the relationship further; but the way she looked at him he felt perhaps there was something there but she must have her reasons for holding back.  Derek just figured she wasn't interested, because of her explaination as to why she has to wear her suit; eventhough he didn't mind.  Or maybe it was because she was afraid to be with a human; still he wasn't sure.  Derek was attracted to her accent initially, as well as her intelligence and shy personality. He enjoyed her stories and the kindness and appreciation she showed just for him treating her like a person instead of a nusance as the rest of the galaxy does to Quarians. Derek found it to be a very sweet gesture only deepening his feelings for her; he'd never met a woman like her alien or human. 

On Freedom's Progress in ME2 he was glad to be reunited with her again but was soon disappointed as the meeting was cut short and she went back to her people.  Hope was sparked once again when he was given a mission to find and possibly recruit her on Haestrom.  Once he heard her messages that she was thinking of him all this time and wishing he was there with herstrengthed his resolve that she may possibly feel the same way.  Needless to say when Kelly, and Kasumi told him of Tali's interest it made his day. From that point on he pursued her, she confessed her mutual attraction and want for him; the rest carried on from there.

Shepard enjoyed her company in first game, but was rather blind to affections. Fell in love with her at specific line:

"So much space...walls of stone. I wish my friends could see this. I wish Shepard were here."

Oh interesting topic!

To be honest my Shepard was actually a big **** to Tali in the beginning. He didn't like aliens or anyone for that matter. He was a very hard person to get to know and like. Only respected his human team members at first... He constantly gave Tali a hard time. But eventually he grew to like and respect her, enjoyed talking, and considered her a close friend. After Ash's sacrifice on Virmire he realized why he kept himself closed off from others and didn't like getting close to people. So any feelings he felt for Tali he kept to himself. He wasn't very good at that kind of stuff anyway.

When Tali revealed her feelings for him he was suprised to say the least even teased her about it. Then realized that he felt the same way ever since they started getting along on the SR-1. What appealed to him the most was the fact that she was the complete opposite of him nice, sweet, caring, etc. Plus she managed to put up and call him on his bull****. He needed someone like that otherwise he would've turned into a lonely bitter man and well the rest is history. ;p

I think she changed him for the good he isn't as short tempered. He is still a jerk at times and a smartass tho lol. He would've became a crazy, angry, killer if it wasn't for her and his two best friends Liara and Kaidan (yeah yeah). Mostly thanks to Tali tho...XP

Seem to be in wrong universe. Strange. Genetic modifications beyond ordinary in Systems Alliance marines. Increased size, presumably strength. Suit appears to have technology similar to kinetic barrier technology. Appears to have weapons prior to collapsable, non-ammo dependant weaponry.

Why here in Tali thread...? Mass Relay misfire? Possible, though assumption of Relay technology in other universes...problematic.

A rather interesting question to ask: If Tali were to use a cloaking device, would her mask prevent her from being cloaked fully, similar to how the geth can't do anything about their headlights, or do you believe it would actually cloak the mask lights as well?

Had...*glares at Kirrahe*...appointments to keep.

Cloaking devices more thorough in case of organics. Geth can always upload programs away from platform, presumably save. Can't do that with organics. Ways to get around light. Like turning it off.

Mass Effect 2 was my first Mass Effect I fell in love with Tali the moment i meet her. it was something about her i love. Her voice,shyness,body,dem hips,nerd, i just love her. Tali is my dream girl. I went and got Mass Effect 1 just so i can start from the beginning. I mess up and romance Ashley so i started over so i can have a Tali only romance. My Shepard grew up on earth no parents and ran with a gang. while my Shepard got out that life and change for the better. He was missing something in his life, that someone he never had anyone until he met Tali, Shepard could had Liara or Ashley but he didn't want them He didn't want Miranda,Jack,and Kelly . He didn't see them like that, He was attract to Tali but he didn't know Tali would feel the same. When Shepard return from the dead and meet Tali again his heart race. The main thing my Shepard regarded before he died was not telling Tali he love her. When he came back he knew he had to tell her. When Tali join the Normandy again he was happen
When Kelly told him Tali wanted to be more than friends his dreams would come true. He told Tali his feeling's for her she responded back with the same feelings. When my Shepard into confinement for 6 months all he could think about was Tali. When the Reaper's show up the first thing he though about was Tali. When my Shepard and Tali reunite he never let her go he even told her move in captain cabin with him. Tali is my Shepard moon,stars,sun, his everything Tali is the best thing in my Shepard's life my Shepard only need's one thing in his life and that's Tali.

I don't think her visor would prevent her from beeing completely invisible... just my guess though

About to start typing out the first chapter of "Two Years Later" (let me know if anybody else has used that title for their fan fics and I will change it). It's a reimagining of Mass Effect from ME2 to ME3. It will mostly center around Tali and Shepard. Hope you all like it.
