You know that sonic toothbrush she talked about? She didn't lose it. She just uses it for something else now. And EDI controls it.
It was not a seemless transition.

I wanted more time with TaliI wish we could have choosen the order in which we did the priority missions, or things were written so you get Tali abit sooner. Last game in the trilogy and we get her at the end. Bah.
That was all a bunch of bull, Liaramancers and Garrusmancers spent the whole game with their love interest. Yet we get ours late in the game and we barely got to talk to her.

What's worse is they had the most moments with Shepard (LI or not) and were the most vocal characters throughout the game; especially Garrus. He lacked nothing. lol Like I said I love his character but give me some more chat time/moments with Tali please; that's all I want.AnubisEgyptainLordofDeath wrote...

Yeah I suppose Garrusmancers get plenty of time. I love Garrus though, so no issues from me. As you said though would have been nice to do Talis mission first to get her onboard, but I think the story progression makes sense in its current form. Wouldn't make sense to go off and solve the Quarian-Geth war while Palavin was burning.
Hopefully can see more of Tali in DLC. I saw a thread about Xan's science project plot that was cut, maybe something similar will become DLC.

Huh what huh..? "drags attention off of the Quarian walking on the last page" Oh yes sounds good to me. It will be nice to see those many blank areas filled in with interesting thoughts and conversation.zapphoman24 wrote...
I agree with Talis content as lacking in ME3. I hope my story can help with that...that is when I get to that point...which might be a while...but I'm going to put all my writing time towards it.

I saw the script dialogue for some of that Xen storyline. That kind of stuff is exactly what we needed. It would have given Tali more content as well as put her and Shep's relationship more in the spotlight when she calls them out on it. Could have been fun if they added it.Apathy1989 wrote...

And yeah i know the story is the reason she's last which is why I was saying I wish things were written abit differently to make it possible to get her sooner. For instance when you first get your spectre status back you have a message in the spectre terminal that tells you about the Quarians yet Shepard doesn't investigate further into it; kind of pointless to have it there at that point in the game if they won't let you do anything with it. I agree the story in its current state; getting her sooner just wouldn't make sense.

I know right?! Shepard has information before the Geth war that something fishy is up, GO TO THE MIGRANT FLEET DUDE! Stop the war before it starts, get the geth and Quarians to cooperate, and get your dam girlfriend back. But nope...

Garrus was pretty good. Fairly consistant dialogue wise and spread-out evenly. Well paced. But liara? Honestly, she felt barren to me outside of key story points. There was no pacing. You had her constantly chatting you up for a mission or two, and then you barely hear a new word from her for 2 missions, etc. The pacing was way off.
As much as I'd like more Tali, I'd say her pacing was on par with Garrus, even if it was within a smaller container. It felt fluid and dynamic. I'll take that over having her sit around being silent for tons of missions in subpar pacing.

Awww...*sigh* Sadly, high school never was a good time. But I would've admired them. And still digged Tali the most.

Also, did the artist deliberately pick the most unlikely group of people? These three aren't exactly friends in the canon.
EDIT: Actually, come to think of it, I'm not too sure how Jack and Tali feel about each other. Jack wasn't exactly inclined to make many friends during ME2, so I guess they didn't interact much. Although there may have been some bonding over mutual distrust of Cerberus.
... I'm now picturing Tali and Jack ****ing about Cerberus in engineering, and Ken and Gabby feeling guilty about it so that's why they returned to the Alliance after ME2.

I'd still rather have Tali, since there's a few factors that shaped Liara into what you described. The only reason Liara's story is like that is because she's become so full of secrets and is a very private person nowheavily focused on her work(more than usual since she's the Shadow Broker). It wasn't bad pacing but instead done on purpose there's several moments of dialogue including with EDI that point to that;even from Liara herself. Tali wouldn't have the same pacing as Liara, though Im unsure if hers would be like Garrus either; but she's certainly a more chatty character than Liara. Hard to say since we got her after the half way point in both in ME2&3. Liara had alot of dialogue tree moments, key cutscene moments as you mentioned and overall on mission dialogue friend or otherwise. Tali is a completely different type of character; which is why Garrus is so talkative throughout the game that's who he is when he's not broody and mad like ME2. Well that and his new writer couldn't wait to get a hold of him and build on his character. Guess that helps. lolWizenSlinky0 wrote...

Anyway, its hard to be sure of anything because of the way alot of the writing was handled. Also I forget but did the same writer write both Liara and Tali? Because if not that would make a difference as well.

I also wondered that about many characters, there was so little interaction with eachother in ME2 its hard to know who felt certain ways about other characters. It just seemed like in many cases the crew just tolerated eachother (with the exception of a few) to til the mission was done.Dilandau3000 wrote...
